I found a video, posted by a kid, that shows the American Avocet using their unique beak-

Burt

Greetings to each one of you and have a fine Friday.

Hi JP!   :)  Great to see your cheerful post here today!  Thank you.  I'm pretty sure you meant to put that in the Jewelies thread, but I enjoyed seeing it here in the Puzzles thread today.  I read in the Jewelies thread regularly and enjoy your daily cheerful posts there, and the great pics you post of the bears from Dr. Rogers' Black Bear Study.  I follow the stories of the bears from Dr. Rogers at the NABC and WRI in Ely, MN.  So it's nice to see your pic of Burt posted in your morning greeting here.  Thanks again, also, for the wonderful puzzles you post here when you find time.  They make for a lot of enjoyment and relaxation.  Speaking of... I hope you also have a fine Friday, and get to enjoy some relaxation, too.   :)

Hi to all the Puzzlers!  TGIF!!   :D

Sanderling.  41 piece Tettris.  4:18.  I love the Sanderling!

Thanks, and hi, JP!  :)

Hi Ra!  I think that red thing looks like a Sea Urchin.

ra, here's what the Georgia Aquarium has on Sea Urchins...
https://www.georgiaaquarium.org/animal/sea-urchins/

There are a lot of species of Sea Urchins - hundreds! - and they come in many colors.  That article says the Georgia Aquarium has several species of Sea Urchins - black ones, red ones, green ones, and blue ones, and slate ones, and banded ones.  I never knew about the green and blue ones before.  Pretty!  We usually find just the shell left behind after there's no animal living in it anymore - and no spines... but sometimes we find the live ones with the spines at our beaches around here.  Seems like most of the ones around here are brownish, or reddish-brown.   :)
