Cal, I will let you know about my sister's (Brenda, I call her Bren) results when I get them. You shouldn't feel bad at all about complaining. Your pain is real and it's bad, at least for a while. I wish you two could meet each other! I hope things go well for Indy (and Steve!)

Thanks Cal,  Just what I was hoping for.  I am LOL!!!! right now.
Prayers going out for Brenda today.
Class brunch on Friday.  All five of us.  My gosh we are old.  I am the youngest at 85.
Then Debbie coming over to learn all about my bookkeeping and bill paying stuff. I am worried that I am getting too forgetful.  I lost my phone, my milk, a piece of mail, my police issued Kia locking bar, my way to Kent, and something else that I can't recall.  All in the same week.
So if I start to ramble you will know that it is not you, it's me.  LOL
For now though just know how nice it is here.  Very bright and warmish at 61.  I did ride to the box and back.  No real mail, no good sales ( that means no $1.00 Campbells soup) and no paper so it was just for the exercise.
Bye now EV1.  I may stop back later if I have anything to share.  I usually think of it right after I say so long.  LOL

Hi cal, jo and nan,

cal, Sorry to hear your pain is still bad. Tomorrow/Wednesday will be one week since your surgery, correct? I understand the bike being important and agree do that instead of having to go to the PT place. I hope you're not overdoing it on bike. Sounds exhausting. I was surprised you mention you can't do steps yet because I thought the rotation of using bike would loosen up the healing muscles.
Hey I know nothing about any of this so just trying to understand. I did say another prayer for you and also for you to get much needed rest and sleep.
I almost spit out my coffee lol when I read a man having knee replacement pain wants to have his leg cut off!? Now that's extreme.
I hope all went well for Indy.

Lovely photo of Pope Francis. God bless and rest his soul.

Jo, I hope your doctor appointment went well yesterday. Don't look for things to keep them busy! LOL Hopefully the animal transport went well or goes well. I forget when you said you do that.

nan, Sad eagle news. Your sister Bren sounds strong and wonderful and caring. Prayers continue for her definitely.

Hi EV1.  I turned off TV and came to catch up here.  I went to the doctor.  The girl says I am too early.  Supposed to be Thursday at 1:15.  WHAT????  I have been looking at it on my fridge for 4 or 5 months or more.  I am pretty sure it says Monday at 2:30.  Then below it says it again and. adds a second one in December. I will go back Thursday with the paper from my fridge.
I am taking a dog to Kent early Thursday morning.  It will take about 2 and a half hours round trip.  So I can easily make it to the doctor also.  Then on Saturday I will get Wiggles from FAPL to ARF.  These 48 transport people really love abbreviations.  I am still learning them.  For example, "FAPL" is Friendship Animal Protective League. "TGL" is The Great Life Spay and neuter clinic.  There are many others I must learn as I go along.  I am volunteering for The Berea Animal Rescue.  Everyone there calls it "ARF".  I don't know why.
Tomorrow Shannon will stop in on her way home from work so I can help her figure out when and how to pay her student loan.
At Snow, the bear came in at 8:55PM for just a few seconds and ran off with the feeder.
It's close to 11 now. I have been tired all day.  I took several naps.
Now I will say GN and GBU all.

Earth Day! - UPDATE April 22, 2025

June and Lily
When I think about Lily and June and what they started for bears, I think of all who share hearts for bears. It makes me want to say once again “thank you for all you do.” What has flowed from Lily, her den cams, and people who then wanted the best for bears, their habitat, coexistence, and the world made me want to celebrate what so many have done by posting this picture of 6-year-old June locked in love with 3-month-old Lily on April 22, 2007, the 37th Earth Day when there was so much ahead of them. What Lily did by allowing a den cam in her den showed the world what black bears are really like, how tenderly they care for cubs, and how they can steal the hearts of people worldwide and start a movement for bears that still echoes today through all of us, through others who have learned, and through efforts by the BBC to educate with documentaries about the bears we know. There is so much to be grateful for and so much we can still do.

Thank you for all you’ve done and are doing.

5:26  I love beagles. Duke was my first and all time favorite. I still hear good things about him from those who were kids then.
Lady is looking for the feeder now at Snow.  Oh no, she gave up and went back toward her car for more food.  She got a different one from the car.  Maybe hubby will find the lost one later.  I think she is done putting out food now.
Cal my ears are ringing a lot this morning.  I think it's because you are on your bike and thanking me in your way. LOL!!
OK Now I will say CUL EV1 GBU

No Turkey Vulture cam still.  I wonder if the third bird mentioned earlier has disrupted the nesting pair again as happened a few years ago?  I hope not.  I hope it's just some repairable malfunction.
Ears are still ringing Cal. FYI

Good Morning,

cal, Yay to one week since your surgery and some of your pain is feeling better. That's progress and healing! Congrats to you, cal. You're doing it!  Also good news is you were able to do a step into garage then back again. Good you got your walker. That will help till you graduate to a cane .. then no cane needed. You'll be out and about to the barn doing your things again.  :) All in time.

jo, You're not the only one who's been in the twilight zone with doctor appointments you know you've got correct but the office has different day and time. Has happened to me twice. I swear I had the correct day and time. Let us know what the office has to say when you show them your paper. Interesting.

Your comment to cal about when she rides her bike and thinks of you made me laugh.

Prayers for nan's sister Bren.

LOL I heard That!!! Hope you feel better for saying it. Nothing but two squirrels at snow.

Now it's 11:20.  The feeder is long gone at Snow.  The big shiny black bear came in at 10:58.  He chased away three raccoons.  Then he climbed up and over the table with hardly a pause.  He jumped down and grabbed the feeder and ran off to the right.

I will now run off to bed.  GN and GBU EV1.

Good Morning EV1.  Going to the dogs soon.  Been watching a rerun at Snowman.  Bear came in at 2:40 am.  At 2:43 he sniffed the goose and took a lick.  At 2:48 he chased the flying squirrel up the tree.  Finally at 2:49 he violently knocked the table over on snow and sent the porcupine flying. He made a royal mess.
Now I need to get ready to drive Wiggles to Kent by 8 AM.  I hope they still have an appointment for her, because last night someone in authority said to the group we all need some cat and dog training.  The did not say by when.  So I don't know if I am eligible or not this morning.  I am proceeding as if I am.  Will let you know when I get back home.  Should be about 9 AM.
I will rest a while then and go see if the Doctor is in at 1:15.
Bye for now GBU.
