7:10 to see Happy Easter.
Happy Easter to EV1 from Ohio.  Where it looks great outside.  I am so glad for nice day.
Sorry to hear of your suffering Cal. Feel free to send some blame for that my way. I earned it.  Maybe it is something like post surgical  amnesia that protects me from any memory of extreme pain from mine.  Anyway after years and years of not being without support every time I had to stand I am well.  I can walk all the way across the Walmart parking lot without  franticly grabbing a cart.  Plus I am trying right now to recall where is my aluminum three sided walker. I don't know and I don't care because I have no need of it anymore.  Soon you will walk like normal.  I still keep extra strength Tylenol handy just in case.
I am still pretty sure you will be glad once the surgery part is healed.
I am going to have my normal cereal and coffee now.  Maybe next year I will feel like going out to the little church for breakfast.  It is a nice community thing that they do.  I was there with Joan several times.   They have a tiny two person elevator for elders.  They are very proud of this elevator.  They mention it in all their Rural Urban adds and articles. LOL I think that is kind of cute.  Part of my going there is to let them see me using there neat elevator.  I suspect it was a more recent addition.  The church is very old.
I will check the animal cams later.
OK now I will leave you with prayers for a blessed Easter.  I thank God for all your friendship.

Happy Easter!! cal, jo and nan

cal, I hope you're feeling some relief from the pain you described. It must be bad for you to say you'd never do it again. God bless you.
I said a prayer for your relief and hopefully some much needed deep healing sleep.

jo, Have a pleasant day today at the Easter meal you are attending that you mentioned the other day.

nan, Prayers continue.

Bentley Brightens the Day - UPDATE April 20, 2025

Bentley
Along with Levi who began visiting on March 26, Bentley began adding his brightness three days ago. He was a joy as a yearling in 2023, unexplainably absent in 2024, and now is back daily the sameas ever.
On the day he first appeared, he was calm with Levi who is in the same lineage from Shadow, RC, and Bow. Bentley is Bow’s 3-year-old son. Levi is Bow’s daughter Daisy’s 4-year-old son. It’s good to see them getting along.

But what should an 86-year-old man think when half a dozen turkey vultures clad in black gather outside his window looking at him? I coped, clicked a pic of a somber pair, and they eventually all flew off waving ‘false alarm.”

Brightly clad birds took the stage that they eventually shared with both Levi and Bentley, making it another good day. Other good sights were a tight-knit deer family enjoying the sprouting green grass, a happy chipmunk stuffing his cheeks to add to his cache, and a calm woodchuck who didn’t mind the camera.

Thank you for all YOU do,

6:43.   Good morning EV1. That is a special kind of dog biscuit Cal.
Good to see things are almost "normal" here this morning.
Eyes are watering so bad I can hardly see the keys.  I did check the cams.  Not much to report yet today.
Gotta go to the doctor at 1:30 today. Routine but I will try to give him something to do.  Right now I am fine, but I should be able to come up with something. LOL  Maybe I will tell him how I am losing stuff lately, and dating my checks 4/1 when it was really 3/1.  Yes I did that.  To compound it one of these post dated checks was kept by the post office for over a month and then showed up back in my mailbox.  Luckily it was payment on Shannon's account that was up-to-date. So I threw away the check and made out a new one to give the money to Debbie's dog charity.
Bye now EV1 GBU and Happy Dingus Day.

I know it is hard to believe, but it will get better.  I put a booster seat on my toilet with armrests.  It helped a lot.  GBU Cal.
Sorry, I am also trying to plan a dog transport for Sat.  I have a lot to learn about that.  I was told the last dog I hauled had kennel cough.  So I asked if I need to do something to my car to haul this Wiggles.  They said, Spray and clean with rescue from the shelter". I don't know what that means. Uh Oh!  I've been told that rescue means "Rescue" spray.  I don't really want to spray this over my car's carpeting.  I am also told that KC bugs die off after 48 hours.  So my car should be safe anyway, as is.

I will pay more attention to this aspect in the future. Yikes! took a break from typing to go clean up my car.  Just got back here to find my phone has lots of texts about cleaning stuff.  I have been hauling dogs for two years and just now I am finding out what I should have been doing all this time.  Volunteers are wonderful, but not very organized. LOL  This could be like a new career for me.  I don't really need that.

Well need to go reheat some of Debbie's leftovers now.  So CUL EV1 GBU especially you Cal and Nan's sister too.

Hi EV1. It's 11:30 now.  Om snow I scrolled back to see when the feeder went missing.  I saw the bear come in at 10:21 and start eating on top of the table.  He was there until 10:26 when he jumped down and ran off to the right.  Then at 10:27 he came back and immediately swiped the feeder and ran quickly off to the right.
Now I will say GN and GBU.

5:55 Good morning from sunny Cleveland. Not much to report yet.  I did see the babies getting breakfast at one nest. One shiny black squirrel at Snow. Feeder still missing, but it is early there.
Sorry Cal that you are suffering so.  It will end.  Feel free to curse me while on your bike if it helps. No paper today.  So I ate cereal and coffee at the computer.  Now it is time for coffee number two. Arf, AKA Berea Animal Rescue, asked for a volunteer to take Wiggels from FAPL to Arf on Saturday.  I live close to FAPL so I said I would do it.  Then I made a mistake by mentioning that my last dog was said to have Kennel Cough, and should I be taking some kind of precautions?  WOW! Lots of ideas flying my way from the 48 people in the transport group.  Thankfully one knowledgeable transporter, Ann, said the germ can only survive outside the dog for 48 hours.  So since it's been several days and will be several more days until Saturday Wiggels will not catch anything from me.  Plus I cleaned out my car as best I could.  I sprayed Lysol over the drop cloths I keep in the car, and let them dry in the sun.
I have a lot to learn.  My education is coming in fits and starts lately.  I guess this is normal in volunteer groups.
OK now CUL EV1 GBU.

Hi Cal and Jo. I stopped by briefly yesterday and saw that you have lots and lots of pain, Cal. Surgeries save lives and enable people to move again, but the temporary pain is the price that needs to be paid. Wish it wasn't that way. I'm proud of you for doing your bike. I know lots of people who've had kneee replacements and none of them had serious issues afteward, except for the pain. Although, none of those people had the workload you have with your kids. I hope today is a btter day.
Jo, it sounds like you did the best you could getting your car ready. It should be fine by Saturday. So kind of you to volunteer!
Paulie, are you recovered from the holiday? I'm sure you had a lovely day with your big family.
I appreciate the concern about my sister. I had a good visit with her on Friday. She has had visits from her own family, my two other sisters, and friends. Even in this dire situation, she entertains us all. She was supposed to have biopsies yesterday but they was postponed until this morning. I'm not sure how soon we'll get the results. I'll be visitng her tomorrow.

Someone commented that the Trempealeau nest lost two of their three eaglets in a storm last night. Very sad, if true.😢. A parent is on the nest and I can't tell. No official word yet.

Just found this about Trempealeau from RRP: https://www.raptorresource.org/2025/04/21/two-deaths-a-new-nest-and-a-mystery-in-trempealeau/. Poor little ones.
