5:39. Thanks Cal. Dog shame to Deb.  Thanks again.  I got a day off from getting Odin from the bus.  His Dad is working close, and will be off in time to get him.  His brother Nick has a match at 5 PM nearby.  I may drop in for a while.
Diving the Amish is very interesting.  I got Samuel to his uncle's ok.  Then he says how about taking us back to the train on Sat morning.  Sure I said.  Then he says how about getting Jacob and Anna from the train on Thursday.  I said fine.  Then Jacob calls and says he missed the train and wants me to get him at 1:15 am on the 25th, keep him and his wife at my house until the people on the farm where he is headed get out of bed about 5 or 6 am. So I will not only be up all night, I will have company too. LOL
Now Debbie wants me to go help sell things at John's house.  I told her I will try to accommodate, but not sure how. Well she is working on getting me involved.  So I better get off and at least go get some milk. LOL  Oh Looking back I see I forgot to tell you I used up all my milk yesterday at breakfast and did not get to the store.  Darn I really am not used to black coffee.  I think I will start to get used to it though, because this is not the first time I have been out of milk in the morning.  On occasion I have used water in my cereal and 4 year old Cremora in my coffe.

Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a proposed rule that, if finalized, would make cigarettes and certain other combusted tobacco products minimally or nonaddictive by limiting the level of nicotine in those products. If finalized, the United States would be the first country globally to take such a bold, life-saving action to prevent and reduce smoking-related disease and death

i am for that!

Cal,  The couple for tonight are married.  I never met the man, but Joan used to rock the woman, Anna, when we visited her mom and dad.  She was a baby.  One of six girls and two boys that Emma and Jacob Shetler had.  Joan rocked them all at one time or another.  So I have known her for a while.  They put me up for two nights when I went to Ely to see the bears and take the bear course.
So I will have a long night I guess.  Train due at 1:15, but the last one was an hour late.
Cutting down on harmful ingredients.  What the heck took so long?????  Is this Faucie's idea. I will let you know tomorrow how things go.  Now, I need bread and milk still.  So I will head for Drugmart.  Bye EV1 CUL.  GBU and God Bless America.  We need it.

hi you guys.  it is now 2;30 am.  the train was to be here at 1;15.  now i am told it will be here at 3;40am.  so i have some time to kill.  i will be charging for my services i guess.  i really wanted to do this as a favor, but it is just too hard.  i can't do other things that debbie wanted.  also doung it in the wee hours and changing the time of arrival every so often sucks.  especially because they say the time can be made up so check in often....
now i will see if my old tom tom will work to find the home that they wish to go to.  cul ev 1 gbu and hagd.

5:35!!!!   Felt pretty smug until I saw average was 3.52.   LOL
Was all done for the day, and it was only 6:30am. Jacob enjoyed the animal cams and eagle cams and older Ted and Honey pics while Anna napped on the couch until 5AM.  Everyone was still asleep when we got to the Uncle's farm.   Now for tomorrow Jacob will make other arrangements with people going East he said, but Samuel who is going West wants me to get him to the train which is scheduled for
3:29 AM.  Also it will take me an hour and 10 minutes to go get Samuel and bring him to the train.  I am glad to help out, and they are giving me some gas money too.  It is a very special time in their life and is not likely to be a common thing. Maybe I will have to caution them on the burden for me.
Anna did bring me some strawberry jelly as I asked her husband Jacob to do in error, because he was the wrong Jacob.  She called it freezer jam, and said she made it.  I did not try it yet.  Soon though I will make some toast and let you know.  She remembers Joan fondly.  I was glad to hear that. For now I will rest a while.  CUL EV1 GBU

Oh my Got to go.  I was two hours late getting to Samuel.  He made another plan.  Jacob said he still wants me to take him to the train. I need to get him at about 8am. It is a ways away from me.  So I gotta go now. CUL EV1 I feel terrible for being late to the train stop.  I set the alarm for pm not am.

6:45 Finally got off the couch.  Been tired ever since I got back from the train station.  Was pretty cold all day, but now up to 30 degrees.  I will get car washed soon. Don't feel like cooking.  So it's jelly bread and cheese twists for dinner.  Can't seem to get warm.  So I will make two big cups of tea soon.
Poor Samuel lost his money for missing his train.  Jacob his brother in law says Samuel will take another train to Chicago, but not until Monday.  Samuel's dad also Jacob called to ask me where his son and daughter were?  It seems the mom, Emma, was counting on this girl to help her sell stuff on Saturday.  I hear she is "mad" at Samuel and his sister, but I suspect they are mad at me. Oh well, maybe they wore me out with all the midnight travel times and cancelations and anxiety.  When I reset the clock from 1:15 to 2;00 i forgot to check to make sure it showed AM!  This is not the first time for this error, but it is the most impactful error I have made in many years.  I feel awful.  It made me feel a little better that the brother-in-law still called me to take him to the train to New York for 5 AM departure, but which was 5 hours late arriving in Elyria.
Well I just heard that Annie can't visit Bonnie tomorrow.  I am sorry to hear that because she and I are the only visitors Bonnie gets, and I have my cousins coming over at 2:30.  I did not plan to go. but now I feel like I should maybe go a little later.  Maybe I will rush my visitors or even take them with me.  We'll see.
Bye for now EVi.  CUL  GBU

hi you guys its 23 here 25 in longyear and 36 snowing in ice
Today we had a 4 hour hike to Hiorthhamn. It is an old mining settlement opposite Longyearbyen. In the morning the sky was already pink and purple and in the east you could see where the sun would return in mid-February to end the polar night.

5:09 Yay Not bad. Amish still in town until tomorrow.  If he calls I will go, but I don't think he will call.  I am concerned for noone to visit Bonnie today.  I have company, and Annie is ill.
My car will get a much needed washing after all those many sloppy Amish Country miles.  I mean  the salt is so thick it makes me go slower. LOL  Plus I cannot see out the back window or the backup camera.  First time for it to be this filthy.
Now second coffee with milk is cooling .  So I will say CUL EV1 GBU.

5:14 Looks nice out this morning.  Blinds are all open to grab the sun's heat.  Not sure of temp right now.  I think 24 degrees, but very bright and clear.
Car wash did not work well.  Car looks a little better from the front, but  is still dirty everywhere else.  Plus the long spraying arm closed on my car when it was trying to rinse off the side.  It smacked my drivers side mirror, which definitely made me jump.  Then rubbed along the side of the car for a distance before swinging out away again.  I was scared I tells you.  Thought I was trapped in the car wash.  LOL now, but it was not funny at the time.  Really!!!
I won't use this one again.  It was my third choice yesterday and has been my favorite for years.  I guess the days of $4.00 washes are over.  The machines are all wearing out around here. I will have to step up to the high priced ones I guess, and pay $10 or $12 in stead of $4. Oh well, I will just go less often.
Have not heard from any Amish today.  I feel rested.  I hope they got home OK so "Emma" can stop being mad. LOL!
CUL EV1 GBUand my God please Bless America.  We need it.
