hi paulie i saw on the weather channel lots of snow in pa are you getting alot of snow? please be careful. i got ice on my sidewalk to my barn and some snow but i am very careful out there. once in the barn its nice in there. indy wakes up says come on come on mom hee haw or sometimes he whinnies like pearl did
Hi cal, Yes PA has had it's share of snow so far this year. I sprinkle ice melt on stairs and walks to melt ice. Bitter cold here too with single digit feels like temps.
It's worse with snow and bitter cold at our cabin in wester PA. 0 and -0 then with winds the feels like temp even colder. Brrrrrr for sure. I'm ready for Spring!!

You be careful on your sidewalk. Awww to Indy being happy seeing you in barn and whinnies.

hi you guys its 6 here 12 in longyear 46 and raining in ice. so we went to dr buzzards yesterday afternoon. i was nervous so got in his room. maria his nurse was in there and extra nice too. she took my bp said it was little high but said it would be up cause i was here. she never told us what it was.  oh earlier before we left i had changed my clothes put on clean jeans shirt clean socks but had one pink sock and one white sock and i went out to the barn got down to fill up water bowl for the mice in hay dust and dirt so white sock now brown sock. oh well i thought not like dr will be down there  so dr buzzard came in and he as smiling being so nice i thought who is this?  course jim sitting next to me. so jim told him i was having those really bad headaches like migraine  then dr was asking if it made me throw up no but i could not stand any kind light was wearing dark wraparound sunglasses in the house could not stand noise jim told him he gave me one of his bp pills i told dr after about 6 hours no more headaches and bp went down to 130's he told jim i am suppose to make her feel better well i thought you had your chance. he said he was going to prescribe that same bp medicine for me but not 5 mg 10mg i had told him i feel better if it is lower than that low like jims is now 117/68 he asked  if i had any swelling in my ankles and he was looking at my ankles with the dirty socks i told him i live in the barn too. he reminded me his dad was a vet and i did remember that in iowa. just being so nice and stuff. he said if i get those headaches when bp is good then a cat scan to see if i have a brain tumor but i was probably okay yes bp pill no headaches. we left and when we got out of there jim said like night and day yes he was so nice today. jim said bs he should be nice all the time to all his patients. so i will take my two in an half hour see what happens. oh dr was asking me if his shot helped my knee at all i said it is about the same he kept on about my knee jim said she came for her bp today. when she tore her meniscus  ortho dr told me that her knee was pretty well shot probably need a new one. he also fixed mine same time i did well with mine.  i will never have him give me a shot again.  big relief getting thru all that and out of there.
Cal, Good news!! that Dr Buzzard prescribed BP med for you. My heavens your description of your migraine sounds nasty. Good that your headache(s) have gone away after taking BP med. Don't worry I hope. All's good for you now.

Very nice he was pleasant and nice to you too. He should be!

Your story about color of your socks is cute. Good Dr Buzzard wasn't rude because Jim would have probably verbally let him have it!

I hear ya about sore knees and needing knee replacements. I think more people need them but don't get them.

I don't get to the Forum every day lately so take care.

5:24 Thanks Cal.  Debbie laughed at the bath dog.
Your readings sound great.  Now if no headache, you will have a good day.
I get those little holes in my comfy socks too.  I think I have deduced where they come from.  They seem to line up with the callouses on my feet.  So I smooth the callouses more often, and socks seem to last a little longer.
I am running the Caddy right now to keep the battery charged.  I had a very difficult time getting the drivers door open,  It was frozen shut.  I finally had to crawl into the back and over the seats to get it open from the inside.  I will let it run for at least a half hour with the heater on full blast.
Lots of new snow and still falling.  I will have to shovel the drive again today, but will wait a while for snow to stop. Others worry for me, but I am blessed to be able to shovel.  I just take my time, and my back does not seem to mind as it used to. Funny that.  The older I get the better my back.  Wish my legs did that too. LOL  Maybe it is the rehab workouts I have been doing,  Could be.
Well hi to EV1.  Especially Paulie in western PA.  My favorite place to visit, and even Honeymoon along the Alleghany River near Warren where my Northwest Bank is headquartered, and where we go boating in Kinzua Lake.
Bye for now EV1 GBU

Yay.  Caddy is gone. Waited all week to get to see notary at 9 this morning.  First thing she says is no!  She can't do it.  I must go get a new title in the name of the estate first.  What a crock.  I went to the title bureau.  They said all I needed was the name and address of the buyer. I filled it in, signed the seller line added my initials.  DONE.  NO CHARGE.
What a crock.  Wasted a week.  I think I need a new bank.  This one fails in so many ways.
Made it to Olive Garden for brunch with classmates.  All 4 of them. It was nice. One of them gave me a beautiful sugar cookie that was exquisitely decorated with a cardinal.  This is the second time she has given me a cardinal to remind me of Joan.
Very warm and clear here.  Lots of cars in the car wash.  I was in line, but dodged out at the last minute.  Something did not look right inside the wash.  There seemed to be no spray on the underside of cars entering.  Plus I saw a service truck here this morning on my way home from  the license place.
Debbie texted me this evening with a picture of the caddy after the buyer got it washed and repaired the exhaust which had been hanging down like a junker.  She got that all done today, and was on her way back to Florida this evening at 6:30.  Debbie says she is in line at a carwash.  With the temp. at about 40 degrees everyone was at the carwash except me.  I will just leave my car out tonight and let the rain (95%) rinse it off.  I will bring it in tomorrow before the rain turns to snow.
I started this earlier, but I guess I forgot to post .  Sorry.

7:10  Wow! this was a toughie.  Boy it is nice to look out and see the driveway open and ready for plowing etc., and knowing that the Caddy has gone to a new home where it will be loved and cared for.  Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow, as Bing Crosby once said.  Nick is wrestling today at 10:30.  I may go see him just for his support.
I really don't enjoy seeing the boys wrestling the girls.  I guess it is normal these days, but still seems wrong to me.  I mean it ain't natural. Is it?  These are not Viking warriors.  These are high school teen agers.  Even little Odin wrestles girls.  How do we teach boys to be gentle and protective of girls when at school they are being encouraged to beat the hell out of them?  Yikes!!  I will  tell Nick and Odin how I think they should treat girls.
Well, it is good to hear from you Cal.  I was worried when I got on here before you.  That is rare you know.
I hope the Chiefs run out of fireworks again because Patrick scores so many touchdowns that they use them all up. LOL!!!
GO CHIEFS!!!!!!
Hi PA Paulie!  I love Rt 6 and The Alleghany River.
Bye for now EV1 GBU, and pretty please God Bless America.
