Hi Jewelies!  Beautiful day here, around 60.  Got one of my gardens cleaned out.  Yay!

Nora... That koala was so pitiful!  I had to share the video with my daughter.  My cats didn't appreciate me playing it several times...   :D

cal... Do you have snow on the ground?  They thought we might get some flurries here Sunday, but changed their minds.  Whew!  close one.  lol

rues... That WAS really funny that Crow thought the noise was Stella!  lol  I can't imagine winning over a BILLION dollars!  A MILLION is a lot!  Where would you start?  You'd have to splurge on something, but where to start?  lol  A Jewelies reunion would be nice...   :)

Hi to everyone!

I got out a blow torch and cleaned the snow out in 5:13.  Someone must have hired a whole crew and got it in 2:58.  I couldn't get the frame done in that time.

Lucky, Holly - UPDATE January 14, 2016

Jewel's cub - 07/02/14
Jewel's cub - 07/02/14
In this 3 ? minute video captured by a Lily Fan, Holly wakes up and stretches. About a minute into the video, she and Lucky have a brief, fast interaction that leaves the air swirling with dust. A half minute later, Lucky sneezes and a minute or so after that, Holly does the same https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nULv-tuKPhs.

Speaking of stretching, a candidate for the upper wall in the Bear Center is a picture of 3-year-old Dot stretching at the entrance to her den in April 2003. Almost unnoticed is the cub at her feet doing the same stretch.

Two other candidates for the upper wall are these pictures of Jewel standing on July 17, 2012 when she was nursing Fern and Herbie and a picture of one of her female cubs (Mikah or Natalie) sitting proper on July 2, 2014.

A highlight today was participating in a survey designed by Sylvia Dolson and her cohorts in British Columbia about how communities can best coexist with black bears.

We learned from the webmaster that the computer glitch last evening was due to a server problem. I was glad to learn that we were not hacked.

Thank you for all you do.

Braveheart looking out from her den in some past year.

Boy, did I over sleep.  I have no excuse for I just was sleeping.  No up late, no tossing or turning I had a long and comfortable night.  I am nopt upset or grouchy - strange.

There is some indication that our rainy, gray day spell is waning and pretty soon we will have sun.

I give all a present for this Friday:

I have been granted the right to wear a dunce cap many times.  3:54 before I got this one.  Why is the best time always 2:58?

Because I have  a system, JP!   ;D

Hi Jewelies!  Rainy, damp, chilly and gloomy here today. Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow, tomorrow...   :D

cal... I guess it will be winter there this weekend!  Sounds cold!  Nothing worse than "pee hay" to move... you must be REALLY strong!  I remember having to deal with that... hard work!  Or... our reunion could be at the bear center.  Whoever wins can just buy tickets for everyone!

JP... I really needed that sun this morning!  Thanks!

ra, I understand that and I stand in awe at your times.  It just seems as if your system most often completes in 2:58.  I am just curious, not finding fault in any manner.

JP... I guess I have just done a lot of that cut and go by the shapes, so I get pretty consistent times.  I also think a person gets comfortable with their devices.  I know that when I got my laptop, it took me a long time to get the times I had on my pc.  I have to be more precise with the placement on this laptop, so it takes me a little longer than it used to.

Oh my gosh, there is a pic of my older sister that looks just like the little girl scowling in the puzzle! But my sis's pic doesn't have a dunce hat!  :D Mom said it always made sis made to get her pic taken! Truthfully, she probably needed a dunce hat! :D   Bbl!

Cal, I don't think I mentioned that my sis didn't listen to her doctor when he said no lifting anything over 10 lbs till I tell you it's ok. She HAS to move her living room furniture around every month just because she likes a change! By shoving and tugging the furniture she gave herself a hernia near the healing abdominal incision! Back to the hospital she went for outpatient surgery. So now she can't lift anything until March 15! She is different now. She's very forgetful and her driving scares me. She seems distracted. I wonder if anesthesia could cause that. One thing hasn't changed...she still won't have a thing to do with our baby sister. :(  Thanks for the seizure info. Glad to hear that Scootie doesn't drink or do drugs! :D Fingers crossed that he never has another seizure. When you saw all those black birds did you sing black birds singing in the dead of night, take these broken wings and learn to fly? I always sing that song when I see black birds! :D

Ra, did you watch Blacklist last night? If so, how bout that ending? :o When I do the puzzles I do them like I do a real puzzle...I sort out the edges and then fill in the middle. By the time I do that, you've finished the puzzle! You are amazing!

Jp, thank you for that beautiful sunshine this morning! It was the only one I saw today!

Blschue, are you in AZ?

You all have a great evening!

Hi Jewelies!  Had to clean the office tonight, seemed weird doing it on Friday.

rues... I DID watch the Blacklist last night.  Love that show!  That was quite the ending!  lol  Love how it worked out for Liz.  Can't wait to see what happens next.  Red doesn't like Tom, but do you think he and Liz will get together?  Did you watch Shades of Blue again?  I think I like JLO better as an actress than I thought I would.  Probably like her better as an actress than a singer.  I move my furniture a lot, too, but not every month like your sis.  Such a shame that she can't get along with her sister...

blschue... Yup, you're the puzzle whiz of the forum.

cal... Fu  y that you sa g that so g whe you saw the blackbirds!  lol  Did you get that?   ;D  I saw on tv last week a couple of cat beds that can lay flat or you can zip them up and have a tent for them to lay or play in.  I ordered 2 (buy one get one free) and got them today.  Handsome loves them, but Lily is very leary of them.  The inside is fleece and the outside is suede.  He's so nice and warm when he comes out!  Glad I got them.  Coyotes are close again tonight...   I was going to type something else to rues and one of your n's popped up all by itself!  lol

Cal, where'd your n's go? Something wrong with n key? Sure is funny! :D  I hope my sis doesn't have the beginnings of dementia but it's a good possibility. Our mom, her sister and brother and their uncle all had it! All at the same time! :o Mom's got worse after her hip surgery. I think my brother in law has noticed something, too, because sis said he has been very  attentive and helpful around the house. Which is very unlike him. Sis is a control freak and she has to be the one to drive! If I drove she would be constantly telling me how to drive! Can you watch NBC on your iPad? If so you could watch the Blacklist  when you have some spare time! You got any spare time? :D

Ra, I didn't watch the JLO show. I do have spare time so I may watch it this weekend! :D I like Tom now so I hope they get together!  That cat bed thing sounds like something Wilson would like. We got him a tunnel when he was little and he loved it. Then little Tela peed in it and he refuses to go in it now. Santa brought him a new one for Christmas, which he ignored until the other day. Robin was so excited to see him in it she took this pic...

Poor thing, I think he could use a bigger tunnel! See his tail out the hole? :D
