What do our Decorah Eagles do on Christmas Eve?  Last night at 10:15 they were perched for the night in adjacent trees.  I thought this was a pretty capture.

Hi Jewelies!  I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas today!  I got home just in time to get a call from my TX brother.  Haven't talked to the MI one yet...  The roads here are terrible... flooding everywhere.  Not bad flooding, just water over the streets a little and a lot of leaves and sticks on the road and on my driveway where the ditch overflowed.  It's time for it to stop...  it's depressing for rain to stay too long.  We had 17 people at brunch today and the house was way too small for that many people... eating and opening presents was crowded!

Hi Neva!  Is that your house?  Thanks for stopping in!

cal... I'm so glad you went to CA's and had so much fun!  What all did he get you?  lol  You don't have to buy clothes now.  lol  And, Babe was ok.  You and Polly having fun today?  Is it still cold?  So warm here, I had the air on last night!!  That's the first time I've ever done that!

JP... Nice Merry Christmas this morning!  Wasn't that a beautiful scene in Decorah last night?  Very nice!  Thanks to the Christmas full moon!

rues... Cute Merry Christmas today!

Hope everyone is having a nice Christmas! It's been a rainy, warm one here! Last night we went Robin's for dinner. Carrying on my mom's Christmas Eve tradition, we had ham sandwiches, potato salad, chips, crackers and cheese, egg nog and dessert. Crow brought his shrimp and cocktail sauce. Even though it was 65 outside, Robin was determined to have a fire in the fireplace and she did! She put candles in it! She got the ambiance without the heat...

That's Tela sleeping in the basket! She loves the fireplace. If you notice the flower pot on the left side of the fireplace...that's Tela's! She also loves to lay in the dirt! She's another spoiled girl! :D

Cal, I'm so happy that you went to CA's and had a good time! 150 gifts, wow, CA does love Christmas! He must like to wrap presents, something I have never enjoyed! Have you and Polly watched A Christmas Story yet? Like always, it's been playing on my tv since 9 am this morning! Still have it on! Robin and her friend Mike are going to Star Wars again this evening! They loved it, so going again! She said the theater wasn't busy when they went on Tuesday but she bets they will be tonight! It's showing in 2 of the theaters at the mall. Babe doing ok today? Hope so.

Jp, did you go out to a buffet today? Did you see the full winter Christmas moon? I saw it last night but this morning it was too cloudy. Love the Decorah pic! Great pic of Jewel!

Ra, how cool that your sil cooks! Robin's friend Mike is a chef! He works at a historic hotel downtown. But they are only friends so he'll probably never cook for me! :D It's always those little tiny people that can eat and eat and never gain weight! Awesome pics of the eagles in the moonlight! Did you get your calendar? How nice that your bro called! Hope the other one calls you, too! I have to call both my sis's here in minute. Been waiting all day for them to call me but I guess they are waiting for me to call them! :D

Blschue, I went to Walmart yesterday, too! Traffic was crazy! I must have been crazy myself for going!  :D

Nora, the weather service now says that it was a minor tornado, winds around 70mph, that hit the area the other evening. Originally they said a micro burst. Glad no one was hurt. How's Joe and Sparky? Was Santa good to Sparky? :D

Neva, is that your house in the greeting? Sorry, just saw where Ra asked you that! Pretty cool! My sis's house in Glendale had a courtyard!

Hi rues!  YES, I got my bear calendar!!  Yay!  I also got an 8 1/2 foot Clemson flag!!  It's like a tall, skinny like banner that you stick in the ground!  Getting ready for our 1st big game this coming Thursday, New Year's Eve.   Can't wait!  I have to work that day and I told the people that I will either come early or skip it altogether... have to be home and ready to watch at 4pm.  We were all talking about the game today... all Clemson fans... and nobody wants to have a viewing party, you want to be alone to be able to concentrate!  lol    Thanks for the pretty pic of Robin's fireplace.  Love all the decorations she has!  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fish stocking!!  lol  Tela is a sweetie!  My daughter and the girls would love the rug, too!  Can I have your share of Crow's shrimp??  Yum... sounds so good!

It took me 4:56 to get Santa off that little house and on his way to the Schmidt house.

Braveheart with one of her cubs.

I had a most uncomfortable  (yet comfortable) night.  We, my son, DIL, and me) did the buffet at Doubletree and I was completely happy, and overstuffed.  Roast prime rib, ham, some fish concoction, carrots, potatoes, candied yams, green beans, salad, rolls and three (3) desserts.  A delicious moist piece of carrot cake, Key Lime Pie in a chocolate crumb shell and pecan pie.  I could hardly move.  I had to take an Alka Seltzer before bed but was not miserable.  That's why I said I was comfortable but I was so full I could not sleep.  I'll plunge back into bed in a little bit and see what happens.

My Baton Rouge contingent of children were complaining of the heat (said it wes in the '80s).  Here, we had a feels like temp of 88o but that was only slightly above normal.

I hope everyone had good family get togethers or spent time with friends and had a memorable Christmas Day.

Hi Everyone! Hope you all are well and had a nice Christmas. Thank You for all the good wishes and prayers for my son. It looks like he may be facing more surgery, something doesn't seem right. His surgeon said he has never had to go back in whenever he has done this surgery, not sure what is going on.
