I can probably fix the Re: issue on the back end, but if you respond directly to this post, future posts should be titled Jewel and her cubs without the annoying Re:. I split the thread up to delete posts prior to 2015 and the software tags it Re:.

Nice thread! :)

Good Morning Jewelies.   So grateful for another beautiful day.  My son is coming home for the holidays today.  He is Marine, so it will be a short visit, but nevertheless, it will be a visit!  I will be lucky to get all three of my children under the same roof to celebrate this Christmas.  Now that is a wonderful Christmas gift to any parent!

That crazy puzzle was done in 6:52 by me.  I am sure that most of you will get this done in under 3 minutes LOL.

Have a wonderful Friday and a great start to a weekend to all.  May your tails stay warm and your feet stay dry.

Hi Re: Jewelies!  lol  Brrr!!  It's down to 36ohere already!!  Geez... winter decided to show up all of a sudden!

cal... You can have every single cookie I made today!  I'm sick of looking at them!  I just finished.  8 different kinds... chocolate chip, peanut butter, oatmeal, mint chocolate chip, blue sugar cookies, Mexican wedding, pumpkin spice, double chocolate.  My feet hurt, my hands hurt, my back hurts... I'm ready to put my feet up for the night.  I hope you don't have to adopt the Corey dog... like you said, you have enough mouths to feed, etc, etc, etc.  Wasn't that nice of Amy to say we have a nice thread?  I was surprised...  Guess this is one thread that she never has trouble from!  lol  I hope your woolly worms don't make their way over to the birds' cages!!   :o

Nora... Thanks for the explanation on swing beds!  Down here we just say rehab...  usually at a nursing home or facility similar.  How's Joe today?

willi... So sorry I can't come to help unpack.  Wish I could...  Did it ever quit raining out there?

JP... Shadow looks to be in pretty good shape for an old gal!  Love seeing her pics, knowing how old she is.

Hi Eaglette!  I hope you get all your kids home for Christmas.  I'm so lucky to have my daughter only a few miles away from me.  Sure would be lonely without her!

Hope all are well and having a nice day!

I had some trouble getting in here today. But I'm here now! :D

Willi, it looks like you live at a resort! It's beautiful there!

Cal, you started Jewel's didn't you? I noticed it says Neva did. :-\  What kind of dog is Corey dog? Hope he belongs to someone. Wonder if he is lost? Where does he sleep? Poor thing. Now I've made myself sad.  Your 2 woolly worms...will they turn into some bug or will they spin caccoons? I'm not bug smart! :D We decided not to go out for dinner tonight. It's cold and windy with occasional snow squalls. At least the ground is too warm for the snow to stick so it melts fast. I fixed cheeseburgers. And had Marie Callendar's razzle berry pie for dessert. Oh my gosh, my sister just called to tell me the roads are so icy that a couple bridges have been closed and wrecks are happening all over the county! Glad I'm here in bed all cozy and safe!

Ra, all those cookies sound yummy! I'm not familiar with the Mex wedding. I'm going with Robin to the ballet tomorrow. Crow isn't much for culture! :D  That was a very nice compliment from Amy. We do have a nice group of Jewelies!

Nora, I thought the swing bed swung! :D Thanks for explaining it! I think it's called rehab here like Ra said.

Eaglette, hope all your kids can be there for the holidays! It took me over 6 min to that puzzle! I'm one of the slower puzzle solvers! :D

Hope everyone has a nice evening!

rues... The Mexican wedding cookies have different names... Danish wedding... snowballs.  They're those balls  covered with confectioners sugar, a light cookie.  Oh, my... lol  lol... I had to rewrite the description to make it sound right!  lol  lol  Whew!  That could have been bad!  lol  Glad you didn't go out tonight!!  The bridges must be very bad for them to close them!  Guess winter is here, huh?  I LOVE razzleberry pie!!  Reminds me of my mom... she used to get one for me every time I went to visit her.  I think when Amy took some of our old posts, Neva must have been the first one to post after that.  Have a good night!  And, have fun at the ballet tomorrow night!

Hi Jewelies!  :)

I was super tired tonight; I was at my daughter's house. We had some terrific barbecue from The Wabash up in Excelsior Springs. Cal, I bet Jim has eaten there before. Anyway, Scarlett woke me up by walking on me so I thought I would try to post a short post.

I got my new Fire tablet today and have been trying to get it all set up. For some reason, my email was acting up today. My son was also working on my computer today and it will be down starting this afternoon for as long as it takes to fix the Windows 10 problem.

Here's a video of little Bei Bei walking around and looking at himself in the reflection of the windows. He is just so cute: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fzm0sIQ4jRo

My daughter now has a second foster dog. She was turned over to the rescue by someone who didn't even ever name her; she is 4 years old and spent most of her life in a smallish kennel. She is so skinny but loves people and being inside the house. She is on lots of meds but will get better as soon as she starts putting on some weight. Lara says she is not adopting this one, but will just be the foster parent. We'll see I guess! LOL!

Last night I was reading and turned the TV to the Yule Log. It has Christmas music and you can hear the fire popping and cracking and sounding just like a fire; you could almost smell the smoke. Anyway, Georgy thought it was nice and took a cute nap on my ottoman.

I am so enjoying my time with David. Molly left last weekend and Josh arrived this evening so we have been busy seeing all the old sights and talking, talking, talking! The boys will be here until the 28th.

Better see if I can get some more sleep! Hi to JP, Cal, Ra, Rues, Obsver, Willi, Eaglette, Ginger, Pat, Blschue, Chippy, Nora, Neva, Deb and all who visit here. Hopefully my computer will be all fixed by tomorrow night or Sunday.  :)

Black faced Sharon, one of Juliet's offspring.

I see that the heat has broken for some of you.  It has been amazing how many hot temperature records have been broken throughout the country this Fall.  Winter starts in a couple of days we'll get to see how that turns out.

Nice of Amy to let us know she is working on things.  I had trouble getting in this morning so I finally went back to the RRP home menu and came in that way with no trouble.

willi, like the picture of the new house and the views from the rooms.  Looking forward to pics from any walks you can make in that area.

dlong, great to have family together.  What is the difference between not adopting a dog and adopting a dog.  You take care of them both and undoubtedly love them.,  The dog does not know if he/she is adopted or a foster.  I never adopted a dog, legally or not. they were just our dogs, part of the family.

cal, another dog?  At least it does not sound as if this dog would be a demon like Drama and Calihoula.

It took me 5:08 to get near that  hot cat.  I am going to look for a new mouse as this one seems to hang up.  Maybe a wireless one.

Well, the gaining weight portion of the year is here.  I have been stuffing myself with fruitcake, cookies, candy, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, etc.  People (mostly family) help a great deal with all the Christmas gifts of goodies.

For everyone:
