This is Mike, one of Samantha's yearlings.

Another late night and a real disappointment.    Although the final score was Blue Jays 11-8, the game was not that close.  Until the last inning the Blue Jays were ahead 6 or 7 runs for most of the game.  The Royals out hit them but left an awful lot of runners standing on bases as inning after inning ended.  Better Royal luck and some  improved playing are needed for today.  Two games as the Mets and Cubs play from Chicago today.

We have been going through a cold spell with temps down in the low 80's and north winds.  LOL.  The weather is sure swinging wildly in most of the U.S.

I'm only clicking on about 2-1/2 cylinders so I will wish all of you the finest of daysk and then going back to bed.

I only spent 3:34 because I could not find anything small enough for her to chew.

hi jp! you in toronto? 2 run homer and now a walk!  :D first inning too!

Now, if they play heads up and keep hittling (home run, 5-0) they can win.

Hi Jewelies!  :)

I've been kind of busy the last few days. You know if you're feeling good you need to get stuff done that you've been putting off. It's really been windy here. I think Cal mentioned we had a fire danger warning because it's so dry. Still haven't turned the furnace on; it's really warm today so the A/C has kicked on a couple of times. I was so glad to see Lucky and Holly are going to share a den this winter. That will be fun to watch on the camera.

Lara's birthday is tomorrow so Sunday we went to the Bonefish Grill to eat. They have brunch on Sunday so I had a Spinach & Mushroom eggs Benedict. It was delicious! And I suprised Lara & Jason by ordering a Blackberry Sangria! I only drank a little of it and then passed it on to Lara.

I found these pictures of the little ghosts. There are padded sticks stuck in the ground and then you drape white sheeting over it and tie it so it makes a head and then you add more sheeting to make them fluffier.

JP Sorry to hear that you are having a "cold wave"!  :o I'm glad you are cheering on the Royals. We can use all the help we can get! You mentioned a bone scan the other day. That is one of those things on the list of stuff that Medicare pays for without question. I think the doctors order that stuff sometimes just to get a little more money in the bank. The bone scan is not a bad idea, but I think they will pay for it every year or every 2 years and that's just silly unless you are having a problem.

Cal How is the toe doing? Did you hear Cueto say what part of his problem was last night? What a whiner! He said the mound in the bullpen was a different height than the one on the field and that bothered his pitching! He needs to go sit by Bautista and they can whine together!

CalYou don't have enough room for all your kids. I think you need to get this built for you. It has lots of room and storage too! This couple has only 2 dogs and 5 cats. The bed is 11 ft long! You could get a ramp instead of the steps for the older doggies.

You are always talking about the Mexican place; where is it and what's the name of it?

The City of Liberty decided it didn't want Blue Jay Drive anymore so they put up these new signs! LOL! I wonder if they will take them down after the games are over because after all, the high school mascot is the Blue Jay! Isn't one of your doctors on Blue Jay Drive?

Ra That Oktoberfest sounds fun! Did you get some food? It's been almost a week; does your oldest grand still have the new boyfriend?

Rues I love the Olive Garden. I like to get the soup and salad. It's delish! I'm not all that crazy about their red sauce but I like some of their chicken dishes. So now that you are 65 you are going to be a wino? ;D

Obsver So did your plants freeze yet? Are you reading anything interesting? I've got to go watch Blacklist and Blindspot plus some other stuff I recorded. I've been watching too much baseball and getting behind watching the shows I record.

Bei Bei & Mei in the den. He was making lots of noise.

Mei Lun looking pretty on Facebook. The second is a screen cap from earlier today.

Ted leaning on his log looking very sleepy.

Yikes, I just saw Cal's post and I need to go watch the game. I thought it was on tonight!

Hi to Pat, Willi, Deb, Eaglette, Bluschue, Chippy and all who visit here. Have a great evening!

Hi Jewelies!   Nice and sunny again, but still cool, in the 60's.  guess we won't be watching the game this week... we have a cheer competition to go to a couple of hours away.  We'll get to listen on the radio probably.

cal... Sorry the Royals lost last night, but hope they keep up the good work and win today!  That bed dlong showed you looks like it would work perfect for you and your dogs!!  Guess you have to use more than one comforter... sure don't know where you could find one that big!!  lol  NO!  I do NOT have my remodel done yet.  I'm trying my best to be patient with my SIL, but it's getting harder and harder.  His big job has been done for a couple of weeks now, but he doesn't even mention my job when I see him.  My daughter said she keeps reminding him, but that doesn't seem to be doing any good.  He's a pita...  lol  That puzzle cat sure was SKINNY!!  Ugly little thing needs more than a cheeseburger!  lol

dlong... No, I didn't get any of the German food last weekend.  To me, it's not worth going just to eat.  I think it's more fun for the kids than seniors.  lol  Yes, my grand still has her new boyfriend.  My daughter told me today that my grand has a new sparkle in her eyes!   A family friend saw her at the game last weekend and told her that the guy is a "player" and she should dump him.  This girl had been his girlfriend in the 7th grade, and he cheated on her.  I told her that was three years ago, and you shouldn't judge someone for something he did in Middle school.  My daughter and I think that if he hurts her, it will just be another life lesson anyway.  Happens to everyone, I think... Part of life.  I'm glad you've been feeling better lately... don't overdo, ok?   :)  Those ghosts are so cute!  I made one a few years ago and used a ball for the head and a sheet.  That was the year I was a ghost myself.   :)

JP... You said you were only firing on 2 1/2 cylinders this morning.  I'm wondering if you are a 4, 6, or 8 cylinder guy...

rues... Looks like you and dlong are the party-ers of the Jewel thread!  lol  Have your leaves changed up there yet?  Some of my trees are almost bare now... they didn't change color, just dropped their leaves!
