Hello to everyone! :) Just wanted you to know that I have updated my thread, Chippewa Falls Eagles and have added a few recent pictures of the Decorah Eagles and will continue to follow both nests!  My thread is under, Bird News, then select Chippewa Falls Eagles! Thank you! Sue, smbruhling

D24 seeing the world from the Maple tree with his little friend! :)

June 17, 2016

I was hiding behind a tree watching Dad on top of the maple tree hoping he would come down and grab a fish for breakfast for the kids. All of a sudden I heard some loud squeeeees and looked up and here came D24 heading right for the maple tree and Dad! Dad was looking with that OMG! look and as soon as D24 made his crash landing, LOL! Dad quickly flew off!! ;) Fun times at Decorah!!

Hi Dlong! Those clouds were awesome and scary! Glad you are feeling better and that your power stayed on! Thanks for the video and Bei Bei!

Cal, poison ivy woke me up at 4am this morning! My arm was itching off! Had to get up and put calamine lotion on it! Right now it's manageable but if it gets worse, I'll be calling my doctor. Glad that yours is better! Great price for gas! Ours is at $2.15 at Sam's. Robin heard on the radio today that gas was supposed to go up tomorrow. So everyone was filling up this afternoon. Thanks for scanning that magazine article for me!  My little state is shrinking because young people are leaving and aren't having their babies here! There just aren't enough good paying jobs here any more to support families. It's sad.  Hope you can figure out how to post Ca's dolphin video! I'd love to see it! Glad that Rose's foot is better! Hi to Polly! Tell Boo Boo that if he doesn't stop going to the bathroom where he isn't suppose to be going you'll put pampers on him! Lol!

Nora, it's funny how some people don't get poison ivy! Wish I were among them. My younger sis gets it like me but my older sis, Crow and Robin don't!

Jp, thanks for the pic of Mike! Yep, Ellie Mae called them critters!

Juliet's Sybil When she was a yearling in 2013

Up late watching the All-Star Game yet I did not oversleep and I am not grouchy, just hurting from the intermittent heavy pain.  The game did not provide much offense.  Usually the ASGs have more runs.  I was certainly not impressed with Cueto and the Nationals could not get  hits with runners in scoring position.  10 men left on base.  The AL deserved that win.  But, as they say.  "Wait until next game".

For all, this Wednesday,

Daily Updates
Samantha?s Cubs, More Eyes Watching - UPDATE July 12, 2016
12 July 2016
Print Email
Samantha and her cubs visited and were nervous. The cubs ran up a white pine. Even though her cubs were safe, Samantha was on hyper-alert at times?watching, listening, and smelling Samanthas cubs

with her mouth open to bring her vomeronasal organ into play.

Up in the white pine, the cubs relaxed and touched noses. All four cubs eventually descended, ate, and made their way off into the forest behind mom.

Out the window, more eyes are watching now. One of the new gulls has also taken to watching me through the window, waiting for me to get up and bring out bologna.

Thank you for all you do.

I'm glad you've been doing ok with the storms down there Dee.  Good luck later on today gals.

Hope the iron keeps helping Dee.  That video, Vorticity, by storm chaser, Mike Olbinski, is absolutely mesmerizing.  Perfect music for it too!  The picture of Bei Bei sound asleep is so cute.

Good going on your poison ivy Cal.

SueB - "Dad was looking with that OMG! look and as soon as D24 made his crash landing...."  Love it.  :D

Gee our gas a couple days ago was $2.51+  :(

I hope that pain gets better JP!!

Just love bear cubs with their tree climbing.

Daily Updates
Tasha, Crackle, Bear Food - UPDATE July 13, 2016
14 July 2016
Print Email
This video of Tasha reacting to Holly is encouraging https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJhxNqzQMBU. I don?t know what they said to each other through the fence, Samantha's cub
Samantha's cub
but Tasha looked calm afterward as she went about her pen ignoring Holly.

Crackle
Crackle
At the WRI, Crackle and Guy showed up. Samantha and her cubs spent the night at a big white pine nearby. The picture shows one of the cubs at dawn, still in its sleeping position.

On this rainy day of meetings, I saw a picture from yesterday of the big blueberries we have this year with adequate rain. Rain in June totaled 5.06 inches, compared with the 39-year average of 4.12. Blueberries
Blueberries
July seems unusually rainy, but I haven?t seen the numbers yet.

At a community feeding station, 17-year-old RC?s cubs ran up trees when RC?s mother, 29-year-old Shadow, showed up. Ten feet apart, RC told Shadow to get, giving the pulsing upset noise. RC and Shadow
RC and Shadow
Shadow said nothing. She turned her back to RC and began eating. I got the story over the phone moment by moment as it happened and later got the picture of Shadow near the food and RC sitting and waiting her turn.

The LilyPad Picnic starts in 9 days.

Thank you for all you do.

Braveheart.

Strange night last night.  I was not up late watching a ball game.  I went to bed early.  I  did not toss and  turn but I did turn and toss and, therefore, overslept grandly.

I hope some corrective action has been determined in my pain case.  We Will see what the Dr. says this afternoon.

I am having a lazy finger moment as I keep getting d and k insertions into my typing and have to go b ack and edit them out.  I wind up with things like "hdokw arek things thisd mokrning".

Good everything for everybody, enjoy the day and, for you , Obsver.
