Hi Nora! wow what a great idea for jp if he can ride to veterans then to the eyeball doctor cause i don't the eyeball shot is in the vet place but maybe. if you getting freezing rain tomorrow please stay home..good girl ..stay...stay...

Hi Eaglette! oh i should sound like you!! we never sound like we think we should.never. i hate my voice but it is what it is. jim says when i am talking soft to the dogs you know i sound like my dad did when he did that. so i think well that is a good thing cause to me he was better than any movie star!! awhile ago i was making dinner and sister at the table playing her game and we had the big tv on of course property brothers but the sound was like for a weather warning...i said sister listen to the tv that has never happened on HGTV just local channels. so i was watching and it said los angles ca in spanish ique ueu! i said sister come look..then it spoke in english and it was warning test for a tsunami! Boy if that was real deal i hope it would not reach ME!!

I am not a good swimmer but I made it to the buoy in 7:11, then I couldn't figure where to go from there so I just floated off in the current.

Eaglette and Nora thanks for the information.  First off, the county does provide transportation for all those services, but only within the county and Miami is up in Dade County.  Secondly the VA does have a bus every day but the window between arrival and departure at the VA facility in Miami is only 3 hour sand I can not always guarantee the doctor can give me an appointment within that window, figuring taxi availability, traffic, etc., as the  time between appointments has to fit the condition he finds in my eye, or the need for a crash visit if something degrades beyond expectation.  I have identified a man who will drive me whenever it is necessary, if I give him a few days advance notice (so he can arrange to get off work) for fee of $150, round trip (350 miles).  I still have to check wqith Midicare to see if at qualifies for some cost of transportation assistance.

A veteran is anyone who has served honorably in any of the armed services for any length of time so I qualify as a veteran.  However, I do not usually need those services as I qualify for military medical benefits as a retiree.  Example. I can get prescriptions filled through the Department Of Defense programs and the DOD mail order pharmacy.  Also I get all remaining medical expenses such as the 20% Medicare copay and the deductible covered by the DOD.

I hope I have not bored you with this information.

Hi Jewelies!  I'm so tired!  lol  This is the first day I worked in over a week.  I love my time off!  Another nice day here.

cal... I hope Houla is feeling better tonight!  It will be so nice to have that new gate!  Also nice that Jim can do the work and you don't have to hire someone.  I guess my rock might be installed "the end of this week"... I haven't met the guy doing it, haven't even talked to him.  Everything has been done through my SIL.  I'm getting stacked stone in front of my porch where I used to have bushes.  The porch is about 25' long and the rock will be about 2' tall.  I think it'll look really good. I picked rock that has a lot of colors in it... browns, tans, grays.  I laid the sidewalks with flagstones when I moved here and I think the stacked rock will look good with it.  Stay safe when that tsunami gets close!  lol  Are you supposed to get some of the snow that hit Denver today?  They said it was in the 70's just yesterday and a blizzard today!

Eaglette and Nora... Thanks for helping Jp with the veteran info.  We have veterans around here that volunteer to drive other veterans to their doctor appointments and places they need to go.

rues... Yes!  I did see the Blindspot!  I really like that show, although sometimes it's hard to follow.  Just like the Blacklist!  lol  I'm looking forward to that coming back.  Do you know when it's supposed to be on again?  My daughter and the grands are going to have a yard sale next weekend, not Easter weekend, but the next one.  They're all busy, busy, busy getting stuff cleared out at their house.  I'm going to help, but don't have anything to sell.  I always take my stuff to Goodwill.  I always have a box ready and when it gets full, I take it in.  They're going to have it at SIL's office here in town, so they should have a good turnout.  The whole family is going to Anderson tomorrow night to celebrate the oldest grand's birthday at Olive Garden.  I'm making brownies instead of a birthday cake.  She has decided that she doesn't like cake anymore!  lol  This is the same grand that has always wanted to have a bakery!  lol

JP... Your info isn't boring at all.  We're always open to learning something new.  I'm glad you have found someone willing to take you to Miami.

Hi to everyone!

Ra, love stacked stone! They seem to be using it a lot now in new construction. Our pool liner has the stacked stone design on it. We may have to replace the liner this spring so I hope I can find another liner just like the old one.   Funny about the grand that wanted to have a bakery now doesn't like cake! Has she changed her mind about the bakery? Robin wanted to be a dolphin trainer when she was little! She decided that after we visited Sea World. I don't  know when Blacklist is coming back but I wish it were soon! I get confused, too, with a lot the shows. Sometimes I have to watch them twice to understand what is going on! Lol!

Cal, cool pic from Teri's vacation! I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. Doubt that I'll ever get there. The fence we are replacing is a wooden six foot privacy fence except where the deck is. The fence guy is putting up 8 foot fencing there. He is supposed to do it April 7 unless it rains or heaven forbid snows! Molly and Boo will bark their heads off while he and his helper work on that fence. I dread that.

Mike is our bear this morning.

Crazy Spring.  Two days ago it was in the low 60s with a 25 mile an hour Northeast wind. Yesterday it was in the 80s with a calm wind.

My back flared up again last night but that is good as I have an appointment this morning with the pain management doctor relating to my cervical Radiculitis.  I need a new spine but they stiopped production of my model because there was no call for that early model.

Many good thoughts for you all to have a tremendous Thursday.  No problems allowed.

Honey Takes a Stroll - UPDATE March 23, 2016

Hairy and downy woodpeckers co-existing
Hairy and downy woodpeckers co-existing
Honey left her small pen to take a stroll in the snow and check things out as a Lily Fan captured in this 2?-minute video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngCGDURS5ys.

Out the window the last couple days, the hairy and downy woodpeckers learned to share. Both are males with red on their heads. The red on the big hairy has a dark line down through it, unlike what I see in bird books. I don?t know if this is a local variation or if it can be variable everywhere.

The redpoll male posed nicely looking like an emperor, one person said.

Both red-breasted and white-breasted nuthatches put in appearances.

A black-capped chickadee posed nicely with the low sun lighting him or her nicely.

A pine siskin joined the redpolls, as is common. Pine siskins stand out because of the yellow on their wings.

Help feed the bearsI?m seeing some clever promotions of the new bear food page http://www.bear.org/website/how-to-help/bear-food/donate-now.html.

One is the picture of Honey using her paw for a plate. The other is this video of Lucky eating his breakfast loud. (Be sure to have your sound on) He has an efficient way of eating romaine lettuce at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TiHmBLhDJY8.

Thank you for all you do.

Good morning jewelies! It is 42 here raining kinda still and windy!! oh that wind!! I was reading the bear update looking at the pics and did not see honey on feed the bears..had to go get it and add it too!! Bears love them red grapes i don't i love the green ones!!

Hi JP! Mike is good looking fellow!! we like mike! You got lots of good info on the ride to miami. Happy you got someone lined up. 150.00 better than what 600 something for taxi. wish you could get it cheaper and i hope this guy you got you really know him well or he works for transportation dept somehow. Very good you got DOD coverage. You are certainly entitled to that. also nice your weather changed it's mind and was nice course can change it right back. I think it is good your back has acted back up cause maybe it will show up good for the pain doctor today. happy you got an appt. for that today and you can just take yourself too. I wish they would have a recall on your spine!

Hi Ra! hang on ralphie downstairs trying to start something with andy..Okay those cats. one of mine one of mom's.nine times outta ten mine started it. mom's is bigger. That stack stone in colors i love ra! That with your flagstone will look so great!! i'm excited for you to get it. Wow your family is having a garage sale. that is alot of work. i got stuff i could donate to sell. go with me down to susies and all kinds of stuff!! i hope the weather is good for it. That is really cool you have other veterans who drive them to their dr. appt. I think houla is better this morning. still not all the way. she did not try to take boo boo out this morning going outside. he is still out there. hope jim get the actual electric gate opener attached today.

Hi Rues! Wow your privacy fence will look so good too!! 8 foot around the deck should be private..If you got nosy neighbors keep them at bay. oh i can just hear molly boo barking non stop. can you imagine if someone came here to fixed something? well when them guys were putting in the horse fence in the girls pasture calihoula running off her mouth and the boys followed just brought them in the house and they shut their pie holes. I will never get to hawaii either but thats okay. teri and jay go every year in feb or jan. she just can't stand winter so he takes her there and they meet up with her ex sister in law. gary's sister..she is teri's boobie. like i said she can't take the winter so off to hawaii..poor thing. :D.her husband makes the cash. he is an architect big building and stuff. he is really nice i like jay. gary treated teri pretty poorly and rough times. she got a divorce from and met jay down in joplin. i am happy for her very happy for her. gary died a few years back from cancer. She and their kids and jay were with him when he passed away. he finally told her he was sorry.
Hi Eaglette! lol all the blue! make your brown eyes blue..blue eyes cryin in the rain
