Remember that I thought I had lost my marbles.  I found them.

Warmth, Honey, Birds, and the Makeover - UPDATE March 11, 2016

Honey
Honey
Melting is quickening with a warm 54?F breeze and sun, and Honey couldn?t resist going for a walk as was captured by a Lily Fan in this 7:29 video. Honey walked down to her old window den and possibly drank from the creek beside it. She found her old bowl and checked it out. Tracks show that she stopped by her old rock den where she spent a winter with Lucky in the winter of 2008-9. That was Judy McClure trying to get her picture at the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSNNo8CyV0s&.

Chickadee

Inside the Bear Center, Scott and Moe made six short videos to bring us up to date on the state of the extreme makeover.

Coming into the Bear Center (2:09) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJxI76e_KBQ

The huge change to the exhibits (1:56) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ccx7l52hFZ0

The camping with bears exhibit (3:45) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8oPk5eRqN4

Cleaning the aquarium (2:28) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9egZoBG1xo

Feeding the birds and Manny (3:23) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGbiqmrmTXg

Exhibits   Honey   Exhibits

Footprints to window den   Pond   Footprints to old rock den
Out the window at the WRI, the sharp-shinned hawk is more active every day, sitting just 8 feet outside the window to make its passes at the birds. Although the redpolls came from an arctic area where there are no sharp-shinned hawks, they still recognized it and stayed away from it no matter how quietly the hawk sat there. I don?t know if it is the hawk or the warm weather, but the redpolls have all but disappeared (only 2 seen today). The hawk is now making passes at chickadees, and it keeps its eye open better now. I don?t know that it has caught anything.

Thank you for all you do.

I couldn't get any cheaper gas out of that refinery so I quit after 6:02.

Morning, Jewelies! I'm waiting for the sun to come out! Supposed to be near 70 today but so far it's only 53! Wilson is here for the weekend since it's supposed to be nice out. He will stay outside loving the screened in porch watching  all the birds at the feeders! Speaking of birds...a robin woke me up at 3:30 this morning singing in the tree outside my bedroom window! The robins and mourning doves always nest in that tree. It's an Alaskan weeping cedar and if we have a bad storm with wind all the nests fall out! But they continue to build in it!

Cal, that saddens me about Oreo's. I just bought a package of the yellow filled spring Oreo's. I quit buying Peppermint Patties because I read that they, too, were now made in Mexico. Instead I get the Pearson's mint patties that says on their label that they are made in the USA. I just read where Trump cancelled a rally in Chicago. Hope it's calm in KC! I doubt that he or anyone will come to WV. Hyacinth is on now! They are going to a travel agent because Delia Wheelright is going to the Caribbean! Hyacinth got brochures for the QE 2 and the Orient Express! Lol! Hope your rain stops soon and hope the sun comes out here! I think rain is coming here this evening with thunder and rain all day tomorrow. At least the temps are still warm.

Jp, love the marble puzzle! The pic of RC and her cub is always a favorite!

Hi Cal! I enjoyed the last Downton because it ended happy for everyone, just the way I like it! I did hear a rumor that there may be a movie in the future and a Broadway show. Hope so but I'd want all the original actors involved in the movie.   I'll start buying the Walmart brand cookies from now on unless I find out they come from Mexico, too! Wonder what's wrong with your cc? I'd be lost without it on my tv! We even used it on the 2 Star War movies we watched! Helps me to understand some of those characters names! Lol! Did I tell you we watched the Attack of the Clones the other night? Next in line is Revenge of the Sith. Robin says I'll learn a lot in this next movie. ??? Might watch it tonight if there's no ball games on! Lol! Wilson has been outside all day! Still waiting for the sun to come out!

I've seen those cookies! I'll give them a try next time I need cookies! Those are a lot cheaper than Oreo's! We went to  Steak and Shake's drive thru for lunch and I noticed gas prices jumped up to 1.99 over night! You just can't predict from one minute to the next what the price will be.  My younger sis called to tell me that her ex, who lives in NC, is going to be a daddy! He is 64 and on his 4th  marriage. The latest wife is 38 and younger than his daughter and son! They are expecting a son in the next couple months. My sis was his only wife that didn't have his child and she is so grateful for that! Lol!  All my Saturday evening PBS shows aren't on either. I know they have to have pledge drives, I just wish they could do them with regular programming on instead of all these specials. That This land is your land is coming on here at 5:30.

Lucky is having so much fun.

)*^%$^**&,  This day is certainly vying for the title "lousiest day of the year".  I hate this spring forward baloney.

I certainly hope you all have a top-notch day.  I am going back to bed and I will get up on the other side.

Hi Jewelies! The sun still hasn't come out from behind those clouds! Some rain overnight and looks like more on the way. They say 70 today but I don't think so. Took Wilson home a little while ago. He did very well in the crate. Since his last vet appointment he has been very leery about the crate. Coming here, I think has helped. He didn't miss his sister one bit but Robin said Tela searched every room crying for her brother!

Cal, no, my sis's ex is not rich. He is retired. Being married to my sis over 10 years meant that my sis gets a portion of his retirement. He said because of that he has to continue working. Hope your headache is better. It may be allergies. Can you take sinus meds? Sometimes they make me all jittery. Crow watched basketball last night so we didn't watch any movies. Did your team beat us?

Jp, love the pic of Lucky! Did you get up on the right side of the bed this time? Boo woke up at his normal time this morning 7am but it was actually 8 am DST! I didn't tell him the time changed! Lol!

Hi Nora and Willi!
Blschue, thanks for the RV pics! You have a nice vehicle! I would certainly travel in it!

Rain here, too. Sure thankful we don't have the flooding problems like the south!! Those people are in a real sorry mess. Can't imagine trying to clean up after the water is gone. Took my little stray Jessie to the free neutering at our vets yesterday, and he is dong great. We're going to Sam's Club Tues., and since our membership is up for renewal Wed., we're going to do a walk-through at Cos Co to do a comparison. I know it is more expensive to join, but we want to do some price comparisons. Anyone else here have any info on that? Rues, I know you go to Sam's. I have an author you guys would like--J. J. Jance.  She writes mysteries-- one series is about a woman sheriff in Arizona, and another is about a detective in Seattle. Better to read them in sequence.  Time to feed my outside cats. bbl
