6:05 A little warmer here.  Snowman cam is having fits, but lots of turkeys.  I still have not seen the rabbit, ever.  Is it a snowshoe hare or a cottontail Cal?  I did a halfhearted scroll back, but couldn't  find it.  So I gave up, and wen to see the Brownsville deer.  There were none.  I think they just filled the troughs, and chased the deer off for now.
Had an early start driving the boys around way before sunrise.  So I hit the couch until just a few minutes ago. LOL  Nick to school for a wrestling tournament.  Odin to Debbie's for the day to visit his cousins Bash and Cal.  I did let beautiful Duffey out for a while.  She did not need to go, and seemed to not like the cold at ALL! She is just so nice and loving.
Now I will go reheat some turkey.  I know it is early, but I had breakfast at 5 am.  So I am hungry again all ready.
Bye EV1 GBU.

Wow! That Corgi has very good balance and coordination.  I wonder if that was in France?

5:36 Not too bad. Kind of warmed up a little.  It's in the forties.
Good morning EV1.  Merry Christmas Eve.  Today I will clean house all day.  Tomorrow I will go to Debbie's at 10:30 for "The Gathering".  Which will include hugs, gifts, and dinner with the clan. Four generations.  It will be subdued without John and Joan, but I am hoping the children will keep alive the magic.
Been watching Snowman for hours this morning.  Very little action.  Just a squirrel and some chickadees.  Lots of action at Brownville's Deer pantry where there is a blizzard right now.
I will say CUL EV1 now and GBU, Israel, Ukraine and all those who are suffering.

Merry Christmas to All - UPDATE December 24, 2024

Red Squirrel
Flying squirrel family
Flying squirrel family

And looking around me, I don’t know if it’s correct to include wildlife in that, but I couldn’t help but think about Christmas when I saw this family of flying squirrels gather together so comfortably to share a dinner like my whole extended family did together every Thanksgiving and Christmas.

And now, as neighbors brought cookies over, I couldn't help but think of Christmas when this red squirrel seemed to be enjoying (I think) a treat I put out for him.

Then, suddenly across the lake on this Christmas Eve hoar frost is adding its white for Christmas, almost as a frame for the beaver lodge at the base of that picture.

Hoar Frost

Most of all, though, holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving make me thankful for all you do for bears and our mission. Knowing how much you’ve done over the years, I’m reminded of our joint efforts and our joint appreciation for bears—especially when I see your many ways of saying Merry Christmas and expressing your appreciation for what ties us together in what we all have tried to do for bears over the years.

So I can’t help but say once again: Thank you for all you do, and Merry Christmas

Time is 5:30 weather is nice, but no white Christmas for us.
Yesterday I deep cleaned house all day. My phone let me down again by not notifying me of several nice best wishes throughout the day.  I did not find them until way later on. So sorry.
Today though I am looking forward to gathering with the Clan at Debbie's for the day starting at 10 or 11.
I hope you all are warm and happy today too.
GBU all.

I found the bunnie by going back to 6:35.  Thanks Cal.  He looks pretty fidgety. 38 degrees, and grey out this morning.
Had a great day at Debbie's yesterday.
Not complaining about gifts, just sayin.  I gave away $780 in cash gifts to nine people and got $40 in gift cards from Matt.
I think next year it may be socks for everyone. LOL It was mostly my fault for not putting out a list of ideas.  Last year I put out a short list, and got multiple of flannel shirts that I still haven't really broken in.  One especially nice one has seen lots of use.  It is a grey and white plaid flannel that I wear over my sharp black Bear member T shirt.  Very striking.  Always a hit. Shannon got me this one.  Really everyone got lots of clothes yesterday. I was surprised that they all seemed very happy to get socks etc.  The four little boys did get lots of toys, and were happy all day.
I brought home a lot of leftovers which I love.
At the end of the day Debbie and I went through my Aunt Zeina's photo album which started in about 1929.  It had pics of me and my cousins from childhood. It is interesting.  I will share it with two of my surviving girl cousins, Tammy and Carol, then return it to cousin Ken.  Aunt Zenia's middle son.
Now I will say CUL EV1 GBU.
