What a friendly trusting fox. Doc must be delighted.  I know I would be.
Neva that is a wonderful image.  Thank you for sharing it.
I am feeling better this morning.  I believe the three shots are working to help my body treat this as an older infection and drive down the symptoms.  I have seen this pattern before with other colds etc.   Where I would start to get someone's cold and for 1 or 2 days suffer.  Then be better.  I do have an odd burning smell I notice once in a while and a stuffy nose, but little else.
I have not heard of others getting sick, so maybe it was from another source.  There was a very sick person at the clinic where I got tested on Thursday and the waiting room was too small to effectively distance.  She and John sounded a lot alike.  Coughing and snorkeling.  If she was the one, my family were endangered by me getting tested.  I will try home testing from now on.  The libraries all say the will have kits soon.
My Drugmart and on call Dr. did a good job getting what I needed and bringing it to me in my car.  I reached out with my reacher tongs and took it the bag from her hand at a distance.  She was obviously relieved not to approach.
So now you know what I know.  I have to add that I came here and skipped breakfast and coffee.  So I will leave you now by whishing you all, stalkers included,  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi Jewelies! Hoping we all have a good year! We are all doing ok. Not much happening. Staying home mostly. Since Robin is not travelling she has been fixing up her house by having all her hardwood floors sanded and refinished. They look amazing! Sad about Betty White. Robin said she remembers watching The Golden Girls with me when she was a little girl in grade school. I still watch the reruns! Take care, Jewelies!

Champagne glasses   29: +           It is to be a hard freeze tonight, around 30°  Nothing compared to what most of you are getting.

Hello Rues!  It is so good to see you here.

I wish the best for everyone in this coming year.  (Stay safe and stay warm, too.).

Happy New Year - UPDATE January 1, 2022
Barred Owl
Barred Owl
Here at the WRI, the New Year started with a visit from a barred owl (Strix varia) followed by many visits from the fox. She seemed hungry with temperatures starting at minus 28° F and never reaching zero.

To listen to the interesting sounds of the barred owl, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbL-LfGNMl4

I am thankful for all that you did for the bears and bear education in 2021. I’m looking forward to all that can happen in 2022. More on that later.

Thank you for all you do.
