hi rues i watched that blacklist yesterday it was good no liz really and two of them now in reds debt. i like that and yes it was really sad too. love his mom though hope they have her on again.

hi jewelies it is 8 here i think no wind chill did not feel any wind got to head to walmart pick up groceries heard on pearls radio tractor supply is buying all the orschens feed store my feed store going there this morning too so going to ask them what is the deal. sure do like that feed store.

Hi Cal! We've had a couple rough days around here! That ice storm was awful, beautiful but treacherous. Some areas lost power because of trees falling on power lines but lucky for my area no power was lost. Lots of wrecks, though. Several semi's jack knifed on the interstate which tied up traffic for a while. We were able to get to our 9am haircut appointment with no problem but we beat Anne to the beauty shop! She doesn't have a garage so she had a lot of ice scraping to do on her car. It was weird driving to the appointment because there were very few people out and about at that time. It was bitter cold out, too. Not as cold as you are experiencing! Yesterday there was some melting of the ice and snow then overnight we got 4 inches of snow! Some melted this afternoon. By next Thursday we are supposed to get into the 50's! Almost forgot...my older sis and her hubby were scheduled for their 1st shot today but it was cancelled because of the weather. Now they go next Thursday, same time, same place. We have Tractor Supply stores here. My sister gets her gas grill propane tank filled there. Love the ground hog! Lol!

hi rues!  just did pearl sweets for the night watching abc news showing senator cruz  leaving texas head to cancun people there now saying he can stay there. what a crum oh now he is heading back to texas trying to put this off on his young daughter  good you guys are okay! it was -9 this morning not 9 but i think its 20 now single digits again tonight but next tuesday 55 well we will see i went to orschelns and it was not time to open but david came over said someone broke off the key in the door so waiting for someone to come fix it he said did you hear tractor supply bought out orshelns i heard when he said very soon doesnt know about his job he is the best nicest older man he helps me shop gets my skid cart loads up my heavy stuff i give him my car keys pay for it he loads up my car i always buy him a big candy bar so cool mars rover landed on the moon! percy did good comes in at 12,000 mph has to get down to 2 mph in 7 minutes!  hope your sis and bil get their shots okay you guys be safe

hi jewelies running really late this morning still can not post the update so later on today will try to pm amy again and let her know this. but the cam will go in effect today at 5 pm dr rogers did not have a direct link to it on utube but said you could see it from bearstudy.org click to it there the den is under people porch at first thought it was lily but it is not it is a male bear and dr rogers think one we might know very calm he is even with snow plows going ft away so first time ever to see a male in the winter and how they act compare to ted and lucky. he said if dnr still happy maybe radio collars next year and hope a no on that. i got to get out to the barn again and do pearls med bbl its cold here but should get up to 30 today.

daily update den cam live update february 18 2021

its time! we now have clearance to go live with this wild den cam at 5 PM bear time tomorrow Feb 19 thats when it will begin streaming live on utube and bearstudy.org i dont yet know the link to it on you tube but you will be able to watch it directly from bearstudy.org and the video will have a link that takes you to you tube if you prefer.

the den is under the porch of a wonderful cooperative couple along the way a surprise was that this bear is not lily as had first thought. reports from trail cams were that it was lily and i could not disagree based on what i could see in the den. but then the birthing period came and went in mid jan with no sounds of cubs helping us understand why this bear was still active in late oct when preg females like lily were long in dens.  its undoubtedly a male the first wild male bear ever to be observed on a den cam. we will be looking to see how his behavior differs from the females we watched in 2010-2013 and how it differs from captive teds

i suspect he is a bear we know hes very calm when i first peeked under the porch in late oct he looked at me relaxed he tucked his head back down and ignored me even when i got up to leave. he stayed put even when a noisy snowplow plowed within 5 feet of the porch on the two sides after each snowfall.

now as we go forward we will be looking for identifying marks on his face and chest. our purpose with this den cam according to the permit is to teach the public about the biology and behavior of bears in a way that advances the public understanding of that species. to help with that den cam watchers could again record the biology and behavior of this bear as they did with lily jewel and juliet back in 2010-2014

Hi Ya'll,
Finally found you by changing from animal cams to jewel and cubs in my favorites.  Very happy did 5 + a little on puzzle  Faster than average it said. Yay!  Like PA bear with two cubs,  and will keep looking for Doc's cam.  Not a lot going on at Bear.com, but lots of eagles action starting up.
 Both North and MN have started laying.  Did not look at Ft Verain yet, but will.
Well no side effects from second shot so I recommend get it.

BTW was almost 30 today with just a little new snow.  Snow plow guy went off the drive and sunk into the lawn.  Now two big ruts to fix.

hi joho!  happy you got here! bummer two big ruts course we got lots of ruts big holes in dog yard big coyotee going across pearls pasture to the horse pond boo was out in the yard we held our breath he would not see it i was on the deck came in got some chicken here boo you hoo here he came back in ate chicken got a drink up on the couch. dr rogers cam should be on maybe i just have time to check. so good your second shot did not hurt. and you got it my feed store got in bird seed lots of people there buying it we got 4 40lbs and a heated water bowl. i think it was 27 here sun was out barn up to 48 set at 46 sunday be bad freezing rain snow  monday be nice i think. no snow today at least

hi neva my kc royals in spring training hard to believe that in surprise az is that near you?  baseball never be the same to me with jp gone... have baseball stuff i would love to tell him.

jp you remember my favorite pitcher ace ventura got killed in auto accident couple years ago his number was retired 30 well home opener letting duffy wear his number his mom said yes to that. and royals got relief pitcher the great wade davis back!

hi jewelies its 10 here jims dad called at 4 am his furnace not working jim thought it was an ignitor hope so had some in the van so i went with him told him had to back to give her pearls med at 7:30 it was an ignitor his dad so very happy to see me so running late as usual for me cant post the update get that error stuff the bear under the porch is spanky shawdows last born son she was 28 which is a record then spanky is 6 he weighed at the scales last sept 364 lbs dr rogers thinks now he weighs 400 lbs minks spot was getting bologna picture shows her going in the window getting it off the corner of a desk she is living in the garage over the boiler room getting heat thru this awful cold spell guitar still living above the roof on the 3rd floor.
