ra- your forsythia is blooming- very bizarre but enjoy!  Your celebration sounds yummy.

It is really cold and windy here- sun is out and it looks warm but it isn't. I've been out to put bird feeders out and hubby went out to get mail. It was noon before i got out of my pj's.

Have talked to a couple of nieces in the last few days. Everyone i know is celebrating just with close family. Yay for them.

miss you cal!

Hi ev1
Not doing anything today.  Snow has started and will probably bring a white Christmas by tomorrow.  Debbie is cooking for tomorrow, and wants me over.  I think I will wait until two little great grandsons, Nick and Odin, three grands, Brian, Mary and Shannon and daughter Debbie are there.  Then I will pop over for just a little while to give gifts.
Then I will go home and let them celebrate.  Debbie will bring me some leftovers that I will love .
This has been a very bad year.  I will be glad when it is gone.
God Bless and Merry Christmas to you all.

Hi Jewelies! It's been raining since last night. It feels like spring but tonight it will suddenly turn to winter!  It goes from rain to freezing rain and then to snow. No one knows for sure how much snow we might get. It ranges from 2 to 7 inches. Lots more in the mountains. The high tonight is expected to be 6! :o Tomorrow only in the low 20's! Brr!  We spend Christmas Eve at Robin's so Crow says we will take the truck just in case the roads get bad. He might even have to take the truck tomorrow to pick her up for dinner if we get lots of snow. My family from way back traditionally has ham sandwiches  and potato salad on Christmas Eve. I baked the ham, made deviled eggs and a cheese ball. Also bought a container of potato salad. Mom always made hers! Hers tasted better than the store bought!

Ra, yes, the dreaded Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow! Lol! No sweet potato casserole this time! Instead Robin asked for glazed carrots! What! What is that? I had to Google the recipe! Pretty simple! Crow watched some football game this afternoon but I couldn't tell you who it was. He finds high school games out there in cyberspace from across the country and watches them. He's so weird! It's nice that you will be calling your brothers! I'll be calling both my sisters if they don't beat me to it! Crow always calls his brother in NY and sister on Christmas afternoon. I'm so glad that I sent his sister and bil a Christmas card. His bil called Tuesday to tell us that Crow's sister had fallen and cracked a bone in her back. She's been in the hospital for quite awhile. She was also diagnosed with dementia. Bil said he didn't know how he was going to take care of her when she comes home. Crow told him to do what ever he had to do but not at the expense of his own health. Bil has heart problems and back problems. Also survived cancer. I hope he is able to find someone to help him. Crow said he was glad I took the high road and sent the card. Enjoy your time with family this evening! Your dinner sounds so good! I love cheesecake!

Lupe, we are probably going to get our first white Christmas in a decade! I wish I could send it to you! Lol! That is so kind of you to take your sil places she needs to go. Pretty cool you both got purple masks!

Jo, sounds like you have a good plan for Christmas! How cool it would be to have grands and great grands! Yes, this has been a terrible year. My hope is that 2021 will be better.

Cal, hope everything is going well! Hi to Polly! Miss you!

Have a nice Christmas Eve, Jewelies! Stay safe!

Polar bear near Churchill 1982The big planner of Christmases is giving Ely a white Christmas with fresh snow and temperatures below zero Fahrenheit. Then, someone called and talked about white polar bears and it brought back such good memories of being among them back in 1982 that I had to include a polar bear picture on this cold, snowy day.Chickadee

Thank you to the planner of Christmases and for all you do too.

Good morning and Merry Christmas to everyone-  very cold here- single digits probably.  Not windy though- i fed outside guys already- Spitty heard me in the kitchen at 5:30 and said we are here- feed us!

cal- good to hear from you; you have a long road ahead but it sounds like things are under control. Boo boo is so lucky to have you. It's funny how some pets can take pills without a thought and others are just so smart.

rues- i saw national weather yesterday and i said oh no rues is getting snow in West Virginia. He said who is rues? lol  Your dinner sounds good.  We are having steaks cooked in the woodstove, carrots and a salad.  Two people brought boxes of candy yesterday. Really good candy so i have broken down and partaken.  One of the boxes is caramels from a monastery in Iowa. They are so good- part of them are chocolate covered and the other are just plain and wrapped in cellophane. They are so yummy and i don't especially care for caramels!!    Do you think we have the only two weird husbands on earth? You crack me up!!!

Have a great day jewelies!

I hope everyone has a nice day!  Don't eat too much!   ;)

Busy, busy, busy, cal!!  So what else is new?  You're always busy!  lol  Yes, they say Trevor might get the Heisman... Hope he does... Clemson has only had one Heisman winner, and Coach Heisman coached at Clemson!!  Fingers are crossed for him.  They're saying the Jets will probably get first pick in the draft and Trevor said if they pick him, he'll play another year at Clemson!  lol  Don't know if he was kidding or not, but funny he said that.  LOVE your Merry Christmas horses!!  So pretty!

Wow we were lucky if we got an inch out of winter storm Harold, but sure is cold!!  Sun having the sun out today though.

Getting ready for Joe's nephew that lives in town to come over for dinner, otherwise we haven't been anywhere except shopping here and there.  At least when it was warmer it was good to go out for rides.

Have a Merry Christmas all!!!!!
