Good very late morning here- slept in and hubby and i got into a discussion about a vehicle he wanted to buy. We'd been talking about it for a  couple of weeks. He found it on somebody's list on the computer. He'd also talked to the owner once. We talked about it and looked at the pictures again and came up with a price.  So we got it last night- well- agreement on the phone and we're sending a deposit today. The only thing is that it is in Colorado near Denver.  So a road trip is in the works- just need to work out the logistics and safety measures.

That is why i'm behind today. Last night i watched the first quarter of our high school football game. It was live streamed which i think is really funny.  Those boys looked so small compared to the Chiefs the night before. Anyhow the local team won  49-0. One of the boys is the son of the teacher of my classes at the rec center and she is a friend too. She mentioned in spin class yesterday that the game would be on. Tickets to players were limited. School is going on as usual so far.  Fingers crossed.

Did you guys watch the short video of Ted arranging his chalet? He is so cute!!

rues- you are such a good Mom- making a Thanksgiving dinner in September! Sorry about the kitten- heart breaking. Fostering  newborns is really hard and i hope she can get that mom cat spayed.

ra and joho- yes- watching football makes it almost seem normal again. This may be our new normal. I was watching the Tour de France a bit and all the support people and fans have masks on.  Such beauty in that country, They gave a bit of history of a hat manufacturing place ( i didn't catch the town's name). Anyhow they said the plant was so big because they had to have a medical facility in it because of the illnesses the workers used to get while working there. Apparently they used mercury in the process which caused mental illness.  Hence the term "Mad as a hatter." I'd heard the term but never knew where it came from. Anyhow- the building is a museum now- has 400? hats and all the machinery used in manufacturing.

Kansas State on at 11- gotta get a move on.

Have a great day jewelies!

Hi Jewelies!  Cloudy and nice and cool today... actually feels like football weather!  Yay!

rues... I bet Crow is mad at his team today.  I heard that 11 of their starters are not playing today for some reason.

cal... Wildcats are looking good!  I see they have a player with number zero... wonder how he feels about that?  lol  How's your arm and hand doing?

lupine... Our first high school football game isn't for a couple of weeks yet.  My grand is a senior this year and a cheerleader again, so we want to go to watch her, but they're going to have 75% occupancy at the games, masks required, and only two or four tickets per family.  Families of players, coaches, and cheerleaders get first pick.  We're a little nervous about having so many people there.

Joho... You getting your fill of football today?  I am!   ;)

Go Wildcats and later, Go Tigers!!  Our game is at 7:30.

Have a good day, Jewelies!

Good morning everyone- it was a good morning to sleep in-- so i did!  Foggy and 55 here. cal- i think we are done with rain for awhile here too. We got 4.5" this week. The grass is greening up and will probably have to mow in the next week. Temps to be in the mid seventies.

I think Ted was trying to figure out how to get that big water trough in his chalet too. He is getting ready for winter. I have on my favorites the Crested Butte, Colorado cams and i watched the snow there last week. Yay for snow.  Of course it melted in the town but is still on the mountaintops.

One more tennis match today- the men play- Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev. Both young men and super good. Naomi Osaka won the women's title. Such a talented and basically shy young lady who is maturing into a leadership role.   Then on to Paris for the French Open postponed from May. Starts September 27 or 28.

Well- past time for breakfast-maybe a ride for breakfast pizza if the fog clears a bit.

Have a great day jewelies!

Hi Jewelies! It's raining here! Supposed to hang around all day. We need it. Temps are cooling down into the low 70's with a couple nights down to 48! Which means it is time to close the pool. :( We are planning a trip to the pool store tomorrow to get the chemicals for closing it up.

Cal, good update today! Ted is a sweetie! Went with Robin yesterday to 3 furniture stores. She's looking for an accent chair for her living room. She found one she liked at Ashley's but it is out of stock. Back order up to 8 weeks. They blame ykw for that. I was looking at living room furniture because  my furniture is about 25 yrs old! I didn't want to get new furniture while there were dogs in the house. The couch was Molly's bed! Now I can get something new and I didn't see anything I liked! Crow said he watched some of your team's game. But he favors college and high school football games.

Ra, Crow said they still aren't saying why the players were not allowed to play. He figures they all went to a party. Those crazy college kids are still having illegal parties. The county where WVU is located is in the red zone now. No in person classes at any schools there. Crow said WVU won their game but he said it was like a high school team playing a little jr high team. If they had lost it would have been humiliating. Can't believe your grand is a senior! How time flies! Our high school games started Friday night. They tv station showed the empty stands. Only immediate family members were allowed.

Lupe, what kind of car did your hubby buy? A rode trip to Denver sounds like fun! As I've mentioned before, Crow watches the Tour de France every morning. He was telling me about the hat factory and the term mad as a hatter! He couldn't remember the name of the town either! He said there was a wreck between 2 bikers this morning where one rider broke his hand. He attempted to ride anyways but couldn't work his hand brakes so he had to drop out. It is the most beautiful scenery. How lucky for those that live there. Wow, you got a lot of rain!

It is raining cats and dogs outside! Rain is almost up to the curb! Wish California could get some of this. Have a great day! Stay safe! :)
