Hi EV1, Joan is sleeping in her chair. She got up early for her at 7:30. Feeling very good. Don't know why. Maybe the weather. Cold and clear. She has a 2pm visit with foot md, and is already ready to go. Seems odd. She usually waits until the last minute to get ready. Oh well, I'll take it as long as she hurts less. I don't care why. Thank you God.
Good visit to MD yesterday. Doubled Cymbalta, and took away Zoloft for first time in 40 or 50 years. Weather did not distract us. We did have a scare getting out the door. She had lost the ear piece from her right hearing aid. We crawled all over with flashlights trying to find it. It is just a tiny grey rubber cone. She had to use the left one all day. She does not like this one. Does not work as well as right one for some reason.
Just before bedtime, I tried again to find the missing cone. Finally I found it in her ear. Now all is well again with aids.
We did wind up at Cracker Barrel at 6PM for dinner. Joan had chicken and dumplings, because Debbie had told her it was good. It was not what Joan likes though. It was all white meat with lots of gooey doughy dumplings. Joan liked the dumplings, but I had to help with the chicken. She does not like white meat, but the dumplings reminded her of what her Polish Busha used to make. So she was happy. So was I. I love white meat. I can't remember what I had, but I liked it. I had skipped lunch due to doctor's and Bruce's visits. All I had all day since 7am was a bowl of cheerios with an apple in it and two cups of coffee. I was very hungry. I usually eat a lot at lunch and dinner.
Visit with Bruce was not good. He said he had missed lunch due to visit from hospice people. Aides said he had lunch. I think he did not. The worst thing was he started skidding down out of his wheelchair and I could not get him back up. It took several minutes and three people to get him back into his chair. It is bad. He cannot stand, and his arms are too weak to push him up in chair. It is awful to think what could be coming for him. He is in pain all the time all over.
That's enough whining for now. We hope you all have a good Wednesday. We will do the best we can. God bless those in need. Keep warm. Help those you can, while you can.
Bye for now.
