I went to bed happy last night.   I had a comfortable day and the Marlins beat the Braves 1-0

Every one of you gets my wish for a Saturday that is comfortable and complaint free.  Special prayers for cal's toes and Jim's knee.

hi jewelies! it is 78 here hot and very humid. so nice and cool in the house let the hounds out wow hot. it is 78 in the barn ac was running i have it set for 78 nice in there too. pearl enjoying her grain and her new fan sweets too. lots of little baby raccoons in there. they have figured out i am the cookie person lot of raccoon running for me cookie cookie i had big can of dog food and lots of cookies. today will be 96 and they said will feel like 101 to 105 tomorrow today we are under a heat advisory.

hi jp! thanks for the good morning the pic of spanky yes prayers for him and the good weekend that is beautiful. hope you continue to get better oh man i hear a puppy crying out. jim is telling them to quit it. he let drama out awhile ago and now he is telling them puppies get down back up letting big boy back in. no one can stay out long in this heat. boo boo rain back in i can hear him on the floor.

hi JO! sound like you have a long day too at the fair. so happy someone turned your glasses in. i watched a little of the royals indian game i was really tired from long drive walking. woke up and checked the score guide saw royals did beat them 5-4.  i think we won it in the 9th. another game tonight at 6 pm i will be watching it chiefs play today at noon too. jim is so much better he got up this morning to kinda watch the dogs so i could come in here and post . yes doctors and minion good word are good but hard to put up with at times. once jim was in the truck and told me to hit forget her. he remembered every thing that was said i knew he would.  anyway he is doing great that is what counts. i was so rattled trying to get the kids all down and get in the truck and head out i could not find the truck key finally found it got all the way in the truck where are the directions had to go around and go back in cant find them go back out oh they fell on the floor went underneath the seat. i had tripped going back out stubbed my sore toes really hurt and his gas pedal is hard to push down not like my newer car or old smokey and did not know where his cruise was so that was kinda hard on my foot. they feel better this morning for sure. did you enjoy the horse show at the fair? i have been to our fair not for along time but always loved the horses show went alot with my mom so that made it even better.

well i need to get started feeding and stuff let jim off the hook with them puppies they peed all over my room yesterday let them out let them in went to the barn came in and they went again all over my room i was mad too. cleaning that up brownie under the bed penny laying on top watching me clean up pee i was griping telling them this is it tomorrow going to start beating some butt for this you guys are getting too old for this and penny got tired of hearing me she got off the bed joined her sister under it.

hi lupe i forgot to  tell you yesterday before they called and said i must leave right now to get jim i went to my front porch been seeing the swallows hanging around it and they had new babies in that nest in the corner three little heads poking out. so i went downstairs and got that fan again tied it to my moms metal little table i have out there blowing it on high at the nest those little ones like that! so it is on non stop now till they fledge.

Good morning everyone- jp- ty for the bath tub teddies, spanky and those exquisite Saturday flowers- very  nice! So glad you had a good day yesterday.
cal- wow- what an experience for you but i'm glad jim is doing well; I really don't like going to new places and have been known to scope it out before. So glad you are taking care of the swallows- I cleaned a pretty good pile of birdie poop off the porch this week when it rained- need to go out with soapy bleach water to clean the door frame and porch. It's really foggy here- maybe less than a quarter mile visibility.  And it stormed last night after I went to bed- back porch is soaked up to the door- that doesn't happen too often. We had over an inch yesterday morning but i'll not complain. I saw parts of Hawaii had 42" of rain- can't even imagine.

rues- love to listen to the rain but last night- I fell back to sleep- hubby was still up so I figured if it got seriously bad he'd wake me. what is blooming in your garden- my annuals are looking sad- lots of green but not a lot of bloom. Sedums are just starting to bloom. Got my garden journal out this week to make plans for next year-i didn't plant any herbs this year and i miss using fresh herbs in my cooking. Need to add them back for next year.

Well- i absolutely must get to cleaning- duke is coming tomorrow until thursday and the US open tennis tournament in New York City starts on Monday- we will have a busy time and i feel better if i start out with cleaning done. Cleaned bathroom and kitchen and scubbed floors- but i need to dust and vacuum.

 Also, how is the mouse Cal pulled out of the snakes mouth by his shoulders.  How heroic.  Unbelievable.  WOW!  Did I really read that right?  That is a very extreme animal rescue story.

hi jo i just got all my chores done in my room got the royals cleveland game on at kc. my toe hurts me ben on it all day i just put some lotion on my toes and testing them they look more swollen than yesterday. jim is doing great. he got some pain med tylenol but never took them. we went to excelsior this morning went to walmart jim got a slab of ribs already cooked then cooked them on his grill. i got dog food cat food usual stuff. i like going by myself better. then the bank was not open so i drove his big truck over to mcdonalds like old smokey way better he telling me how to drive i was ready to go home he shut up said sorry. i never had a ticket before.get to mcdonalds drive thru he wants biscuit with cheese egg bacon i said its not on the dollar menu he forgot his wallet cause he was not driving he cant drive till tomorrow. i am buying only have so much cash bank not open. i ordered large diet dr pepper for me coke for him two sauage biscuits was goong to give him my sausage two strawberry jellies and he wanted a hash brown. so its every other car at the drive thru moving thru the line. my turn but this man in a pick up truck cut in front. jim is mad told me pull in front of him no jim not wrecking the truck for a biscuit jim was going to get out say something to him no jim stay in the truck! i like to go there with sister. so we get up there i pay get our sack i head over to the bank sitting at the drive thru get out my biscuit not a sausage biscuit it is a cheese egg bacon one i said i wont eat this jim grabbed it all happy i got out the second one same thing jim grabbed it he said its okay baby look you take the top of my biscuit and the top on the other one okay where is my jelly and hashbrowns in there too jim grabbed those he said when that guy cut in front maybe we got his food!  game on. then we got some cash went to orschelns got that big heavy rubber horse matt. came home and i measured how big i wanted in the kitchen 52 inches long 32 inches wide jim cut it perfect it is! puppies can not move that water cant get to the floor had another piece from it put it in my room sat water bowl on it. another long piece at the front door for a matt another small piece in my office for cats water bowl one two three indians out royals up. walmart in excelsior did not have sisters neopolitian ice cream sandwich i did my chores jim was watching chiefs i went to walmart in richmond got two boxes of them it so hot here today over a 100. my mouse is doing good! he is eating cheese crackers cookies. i will keep him of course did not see mr snake today sure he is in there but hiding from me. i could not let that mouse be taken by him i scared the mouse to begin with. if i can catch that snake out he will go. i am happy i had a coffee can full of water he really let go quick! i did not hurt him with that water. oh no kluber pitching! he is good! well one two three royals done too.

hi lupe! oh yay duke coming back! he gets to watch the us open! i know how much he loves to watch tennis with you! i will have it on my tv watch some here and there. rafa be there! under my swallow nest is a doghouse my papa made long ago not a huge one but so neat special it is in the corner against the garage wall. front porch covered. i put an big dog bed on top of it and against the wall. i did that in case on of the babies fell out of its nest soft landing i did that for the lbb nest under the roof at walkout basement. so lots of bird poop on that dog bed. i also put a two liter of diet coke sisters old pop on it to hold it down. cleveland scored a run. really they should win royals are out of it cleveland is not. poor HI for sure.

  Cal sounds like you had a normal day except with a little more pain.  I am watching your Royals embarrass my Indians.  KC looks great .  Just like they did yesterday.  Glad to hear mouse is doing OK.  I am also watching football, and on my laptop I am watching a big porcupine eating corn on the cob.  He is on Snowmancam.com.  usually he is with deer , racoon, and sometimes a bear with two cubs.  Wow Indians got a single.  How nice.  Way too little too late.

Didn't want to get out of bed this morning as I was up late watching Marlins win over the Braves 3-1. Two straight against the division leaders.  Wow.  This season, of the 18 games the two teams have played against each other the Braves have one 13 pf them.

I hope this day finds all in an upbeat mood.  Enjoy it as it is the only one currently active.

He is always easy to spot. I?m looking forward to the next Black Bear Field Study Course that starts tomorrow. I?m also looking forward to seeing another Donna, my wife, who will be home soon from her Colorado adventure trip with Judy McClure. She will have pictures and stories to tell. Heading home early.

hi jewelies! it is 78 here 77 in the  barn i have the ac set for 78. it will run till it gets to 77 then kick off come back on when it hits 79 yesterday the best it could do in the afternoon was 80 running all the time. next month be putting in that new big furnace and ac in there. another 100 day. lou is such a pretty bear and i am sure donna will have exciting stuff to share and hopefully pictures too! we will get to go to colorado two times with lupe and donna!

hi jp! thanks for the pic of sams two kids they sure are cute and the good morning and the good sunday that is beautiful colorful. yay your marlins won!! royals did too last two games. too bad they could not of look like this back at the beginning. hope you are feeling better.

hi jo! royals looked good last night 7-1 i did switch a little over to football but mainly stayed with the ball game. nice to see us playing good but like you said about your indians last night too little too late. little mouse is doing good. its a wonder he did not have a heart attack. when one of my garage cats was looking at one it just died right there on the spot and once in the barn a mouse ran by a raccoon and the raccoon reached out to swat it and it died right there on the spot. little hearts i guess but still have hearts you know. shoot puppies ate their frozen burritos  our royals cleveland game on this afternoon 1:15 i feel sorry for them playing in this heat. see you at the game i will try to watch some of it in between chores.
