I hope I am not  violating any copyright laws by scanning and posting things from the calendar.  I thought it would be nice for you to have an updated list of Shadow's clan to identify the cubs by name and mother.  This is a copy of the last page in the calendar.

Hi Jewelies!  It's been a dreary day today, chilly, too and it started raining tonight.  Just a little...

rues... I hope your sleigh ride was fun today!

cal... Glad Missy and her daughter got to come for a visit today!   The next time they see Drama, Libby will probably be able to RIDE Drama!  lol

JP... I wouldn't think it would be a problem to post Shadow Clan's page here.  I just wonder what will happen this year, since none of the bears are trackable now...  Will they be able to continue the list?

I hope everyone has a nice evening and "the sun will come out tomorrow" for you.  lol  It won't here, but I hope it does for everyone else!

Holly.  I hadn't realized she has such big ears or else it just looks that way in this picture.

The redpoll in yesterday's update has the shape of a shmoo.  I think I remember them from the Li'l Abner comic strip.

Yesterday was a day with few posts and no real complaints about the cold wet;her or snow.  Either you all are getting used to it or it may be warming up.  That would be nice, I hope it turns out that way for all.

Our new week is starting so I send wishes that it will be a better week for all.

Juliet, June - UPDATE January 11, 2015

Juliet - January 11, 2014
Juliet - January 11, 2014
Tonight we start the rocky road of Juliet?s Den Cam videos with this 5-minute video from January 11, 2014. It is an inauspicious beginning, glitchy and lacking audio. Seeing the problems, the team worked harder than ever, spent more than ever, and eventually got things more or less on track in time for the births. The reward was learning a lot about Juliet and her cubs.

We are uploading the den cam highlights to two locations. On our regular YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nv8jGCBhl9w and Vimeo: http://www.vimeo.com/116504263. Vimeo allows a teacher to download the video (scroll down to see the download button) in case the sites are blocked by their schools. Our channel for Vimeo is http://www.vimeo.com/bearstudy where you will find all the videos as we share them.

The 2 ?-minute flashback for tonight is from April 16, 2007, the day the family permanently left their den http://youtu.be/UqeiQS7P5kc. June has occasion to climb another teetering balsam fir to retrieve another cub. Climbing this kind of tree was hard enough that June had to pause several times to bite the trunk to keep from slipping. She carefully bit the fur on the cub?s leg to pull it out of the tree and carry it down dangling upside down.

At the Bear Center today, Holly stretched, yawned toward the Den Cam, and rearranged her bed in this 5-minute video http://wildearth.tv/videomark/holly-1-11-2015.

Thank you for all you do.

Hi Jewelies!  cal... The guys took the first house... Amanda House?  I think that's the name... I know it started with an A.  Hope you have a good day!  Everyone else, too!

Special bulletin you guys!!! sister just called me and the police found her stolen car!!! oh no ..found it not far from her house..sitting in the parking lot of this apartment complex...police called her last night it is sitting in the olathe compound. so she says to me what should i do..i don't know sister i never had a car stolen call jennifer the insurance lady who paid your claim..so she is calling her now and then will call me back..i told her to go up there and get her stuff out of the car if it still in there. paperwork work clothes.. oh know now what? wish police would of found it sitting there sooner. so jim said he thought at first kids taking it for a joyride. guess so..sister sent back her spare key but her first key maybe still in the car. oh god what now with her second new car...she lost 1800.00 in car payments on the first new car...at least it didn't end up in a chop shop..insurance should be able to sell the first one for what they gave sister for it and should not raise her rates!!!

thanks ra i thought they might take that first house i think it was the amanda house!!

cal, my guess is that the insurance company, technically, now owns that old car and will sell it to recover as much of the pay out as they can.

Hi Jewelies! We had a great time yesterday!   We drove 3 hrs to ride in a sleigh for 30 minutes! But it was fun! We didn't go over the river and thru the woods instead we went thru the woods and into a corn field! The horses are beautiful Percherons. Our horses are named Sissy on the left and Gracie on the right...

Here's our sleigh...

The other  sleigh is pulled by 2 humongous males. This one is Tony and

this one is Jack. He was shaking his head saying yes!

One more pic, this is Woody, their 2 yr old black, patched and ticked German Shorthair, a real sweetie!

After the ride we found a nice diner and had lunch.  On the way home we stopped at the Fanny Mae/ Harry London Chocolate Factory in Canton, OH. That place is really yummy!

Cal, omg! They found Polly's car!!! Took them long enough! Dumb manager should have been more on the ball!  Wish you could have gone on the ride with us! We had a so much fun! I don't know what my sis and Sandy have up their sleeve for our next adventure!  So nice of Missy and her daughter to come visit with you and Drama! It rained overnight so most of the snow is gone. Yay! Yep, those horses are beautiful, Woody the dog, too!
Jp, thanks for the clan chart! Now I'll know who belongs to whom or is it who?  :-\ :D
Ra, are you going to watch tonight's game? Crow has all his snacks lined up ready for the game.  I just have to fix some guacamole and then he will be a happy camper. :D  I was amazed at the size of the horses! They are huge! The male Tony was chewing on the owner's toboggan while we were talking to him! He told us when he wears a ball cap Tony grabs the bill and takes it off his head! :D
Hi to all!  Gotta go make some guacamole!
