3 hawklets
May 23, 2021
The oldest hawklet has been perching even overnite and may soon fledge.
The youngest is still nestbound.
Middle is beginning to perch and flap vigorously.

redtail hawks fledge about 42 days - cam up Apr 14 - so Perch will fledge any day

They are developing nicely, 2 of them flying branch to branch.
Two fought over prey in the nest and tumbled out and down -
and the 3rd gobbled up the prey. hahahaha  hilarious!
Then the other 2 flew back up.
Personally I call that fledged because they can fly but remain at the nest.
The mod on chat said no, thats branching.

The white Mom is breathtaking when she sweeps in.

They dont move the cam back so its getting boring.
I'd like to see more of the tree as the hawklets fly branch to branch
