A tenacious bald eagle in Frederick illustrates wildlife's fight to survive along Colorado's increasingly developed Front Range

https://www.denverpost.com/2019/03/10/colorado-bald-eagles-wildlife-habitat/

A bald eagle takes off from its perch as a new housing development creeps closer to the cottonwood trees where its nest is tucked away on Boulder County open space on Feb. 26, 2019, in Broomfield. Federal law protects eagles, but as human development encroaches on nests along the Front Range, wildlife experts say local land use decision-making will be key to their survival. The pair of bald eagles nest year round.

A train rolls by a sign that warns passersby to stay out of open space where a pair of bald eagles are nesting in a large cottonwood tree, seen in between the cars of the train, on Boulder County open space on Feb. 20, 2019, in Broomfield. Increased development of land is putting pressure on the bald eagle, which is a protected species in the United States, and other wildlife.
