Oregon State Police have confirmed that an osprey nesting on a platform at Madison Middle School in Eugene is dead. The cause of death is not yet known. Veterinarians at Oregon State University will conduct a necropsy. If the bird's death came at the hands of humans, state police will investigate. (SBG)
