Sad news - article is about the common murres, most found emaciated with death due to starvation from lack of food, which are mostly a type of fish that lives in a narrow temperature range and probably not found in high enough numbers this year due to the water being too warm for those fish... said problem first noticed starting this past August and 100,000 common murres estimated died since then from starvation, and also said in this most recent count of dead murres that had washed ashore there on the tide in Whittier, a beach town along Prince William Sound, that the scientists "found close to 8,000 birds on a 1-mile long beach."
