The Murmuration of starlings!

It is said that when one starling changes direction or speed, each of the other birds in the flock responds to the change, and they do so nearly simultaneously regardless of the size of the flock. The information moves across the flock very quickly and with nearly no degradation. The researchers describe it as a high signal-to-noise ratio.

Always simply amazing to see this video, jf.  Thanks.  I would love to experience this in person.  Course,  I'd have to have Pachelbel's Canon in D Major with me too! ;)

Holy cow!  Glad they're supplementing them, poor mom.  That's over $15,000 worth of pups at $850 each.  They must be keeping one.

I love it when a different kind of breed is chosen.  Love watching the Westminster Kennel Club show too, jf.  Thanks so much for posting this.  All the dogs looked great.  :)
