This thread will be for puzzles, games, and fun facts.  I will start it off with a jigsaw puzzle.  This is a screen cap I got on 1/10/2012 of a Decorah Eagle parent's talons.  An eagle's toes are numbered as follows:  The back, rear-facing toe (the hallux) is #1;  the innermost forward facing toe is #2;  the next toe (the middle one of the forward toes) is #3;  and the outermost front-facing toe is #4.

Glog, you can click on the time clock on the left if you have an interruption.  That will stop the clock until you return.

The picture I used for the next puzzle is of Dad Decorah on 3/7/2012.  It show his nictitating membrane (the transparent 3rd eyelid) beginning to sweep across his eye. The purpose of the membrane is to clean and protect the eye.  I hope you can see it - it shows up much better in the full size picture.  The reduced size of a photo used in Jigzone makes the details kind of hard to see.

ok...I'm beginning to decide that my purpose here is to make you all feel good.   Now, do I have to tell you my time on this one?  I mean, look...I started doing it about 3:00 am.  That was after waking up after falling asleep with my computer on my lap, half-sitting up, so I thought, "I'll do this puzzle real quick."   Ok...wince....44:04.  When I passed Pagent's time, with only about 10-15 pieces put together, I took my time but decided I WOULD finish it.  Aren't I supposed to get better at doing these?  Course it's just my 2nd one.  I'm used to normal looking puzzles and it's been awhile. (Glog is reaching for excuses).

Lol Glog, don't give up!  It takes some time to get used to the odd shaped pieces.  The next time I post a jigsaw puzzle, I will use normal pieces so you can work up to it gradually.  Or fyi, you can change the puzzle cut if you want to when you're on the jigzone page.
