Orca pods have been learning new tactics, attacking more boats/yahts lately.  Ayaht was sunk in the Strait of Gibraltar..no humans were hurt.

Wombat:
are short-legged, muscular quadrupedal marsupials of the family Vombatidae that are native to Australia. Living species are about 1 m (40 in) in length with small, stubby tails and weigh between 20 and 35 kg (44 and 77 lb). They are adaptable and habitat tolerant, and are found in forested, mountainous, and heathland areas of southern and eastern Australia, including Tasmania, as well as an isolated patch of about 300 ha (740 acres) in Epping Forest National Park in central Queensland.

A Great Gray Owl Photo by Russ Stanton near Cotton, Mn.
"I photographed at Sax-Zim Bog near Cotton, Minnesota today (December 7th).  According to the Audubon Society,  Sax Zim Bog is the best place in America to find these rather rare birds.  They look huge, but it is mainly feathers.  Great Horned Owls usually weigh more.

With all the owls I saw when I volunteered at the Raptor Center, I never saw a Great Gray up close and personal."
