8.30 am  Large Male osprey perched on nest structure.
He left - and brot back soft nesting material.

Gardner comes with noise machine.

Some overnite rain cleaned some of the salt off the cam!

Our male visited this morning - and again this afternoon.
He appears to be guarding nest from other osprey.

A male osprey has claimed this nest.
He is defending against all comers.
I was able to get a front view.

Other birds and fishing boats are returning after Hurricane Milton.

Cappy Claims Nest

6.45 am and Cappy perchs on the side of nest platform.
He's been around, defending this location from other osprey.

A male osprey chat mods call M2 has claimed this nest.
They wont name him til next year, so Ima callin him Cappy Captiva for now.

Jen posted 6.45 am M2 arrived.

Cappy brought in some nesting
His last talon full blew away.

A female appears - and flies off.
She is BEAUTIFUL

Both showed up about 7 am together.
She was here yesterday too - briefly.
Will she stay?
Cappy has really increased his nest building!

Tiva had not appeared on cam at the nest for 3 days,
then today she was back.  GOOD!

An eagle landed on the perch for a couple minutes.
