Good Morning Everyone!

Currently: 54F sunny , High  80F mostly,  with  Low 50F

Hope everyone had a pleasant evening and some SEDs.  Praying for  SWFL and  Ft. Myers nests  and  those in the path of Hurrican Milton.

I have been reading the GSB thread---catch up mostly. Read a nice bit of info on U90 the  female Perigrine who's been visiting Newman. She's  named 'Elaine' and hails  from South Bend, Indiana

Also---  Like everyone here---I've just check the cams there at Pritchett Farms and Cam #3 and Pond are up----so is nest although a bit worse for wear. I thought there was suppose to be an eaglet? Probably just me thinking.
Yes---hoping Wiskernwings well and safe. And, eager for her report.

Tsk  daylight brings out some harsh realities. Esp. in storms.  I've not checked FNC about Hurricane Milton. Every time the TV in the bed
room is turned on the breaker for the M. BR goes 'off' but only half way in it's position in breaker box. Still have to go to garages and 'filp it'. LOL
As I've not been awake long just not willing to trod downstairs and out int garage in my bed clothes. Gosh! Do I feel rotten---turned alarm off at 5:45AM and went back to sleep. Any way, here I am.  ;D

{{{Karen}}}  CLynn      Jim's better. The issue was a teeny-tiny particle in his lungs. His Doc' s  NP gave him a weeks' supply of Trilolgy, Mucenx and antibiotics.  All that bothers him now is the nasal drippiness and resulting cough.
Me on the other hand just got antibiotics ...sinuses draining--the wrong way. LOL      We're  sort of a matched pair that's for sure--- ;D

Yes. I heard about that retirement community getting hit by tornado ---so sad ---folks lost their parents, grand parents and aunt / uncles when
that happened.

Prayers for:  Victims of Hurricanes Milton and  Helene . And, those who rescue them; SWFL and  Ft. Myers nests  and  those in the path of Tropical Storm  Milton ;The Fallen of Abbey Gate, Vietnam, Korean Conflict, WWI and II; Police and First Responders.  Our friend and ally the Nation of Israel and peace for her people.   'Little Gray' and 'Little One' ...All abandoned, abused , lost cats ... stray, unloved, homeless stray and feral cats;
The Bluebirds of Cane Ridge, Tennessee, Hummingbirds, Bumble Bees  and Honey bees everywhere . As always, Beakers, Cheerios and RRP and families.🙏 s

Well, I best get the day started.

Thanks .clynn!   The area around swfl looks normal this am!   Far less damage than my yard after Helene which turns out to have been a stronger storm!   One of last night’s tornadoes ripped thru a retirement trailer community !   Some how they are magnents for tornados!  Scary.   Waiting for wiskernwings to give a report.  Hope she is okay!
Morning Tsk and Phyl.

Good Morning Beakers!

Lani, sweet good night picture. All are waiting for daylight to see what the damage from Milton looks like. Sun coming up over Jacksonville right now...  Thanks for the Albie news, just few more to leave, it's been a good season!

karen, the SWFL cams are off, either the power was lost or they turned the cams off. Prayers for all the wildlife...

Phyl, peaceful sunset on the Flyway... Prayers for Jim, we need him to get better!  You too, how are you doing?

The Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus) is the fastest bird in the world, and not only that, it's also the fastest animal of all. His daily flight goes around 100mph, but when it comes to hunting he is able to sting at more than 300mph. His entire anatomy is perfectly adapted for the extreme speeds he can achieve. Therefore it is not new that part of its aerodynamics has been adopted in the aerospace stealth sector.

hi you guys its 49 here clear my cousin is okay from hurricane milton i dont know about rick and kerry yet a tornado hit by where they live said one person died. i watched the weather channel last night and early this morning when it hit last night gov ron desantis was angry at the person who left their dog to a fence before milton was to hit said dog was crying and barking i was so angry thank you troopers for rescuing that dog gov said dog taken to a vet was checked out is okay will coming up for adoption and looking for who did that he said florida will not put up with that.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) vowed Wednesday to punish Floridians who leave dogs tied up amid hurricanes, as the threat of Hurricane Milton looms over the state’s west coast.

“It is cruel for anyone to leave a dog tied to a post in the middle of an oncoming storm. FL will hold anyone who mistreats pets accountable,” DeSantis wrote on the social platform X, responding to a post from Florida Highway Patrol’s Troop C.

The patrol troop — which is based in the Tampa, Fla., area — shared a video, explaining that they rescued a dog that had been tied to a pole on I-75.

The governor replied, “Thank you, @FHPTampa.

At dawn, no LIVE cams SW or NE FL eagles or Captiva.
Radio said Verizon and ATT down.

Clive Riding Out Hurricane Milton
Around 6:14 pm tonight as Hurricane Milton started to hammer Captiva, Clive flew in.    Clive stayed and hunkered down in the nest. Last we saw before the cams went down he was still there.
