noon or so Flash came with a bloody bird, went inside, female came but didnt go in, so poor Flash left - with his bloody bird. She sat on the green and kept looking over her shoulder.

1 pm Aero arrives alone, went inside, really gave the inside a detailed inspection!
OMG! Mating out on the stick! And I didnt have my finger on the trigger!
I MISS DVR!

I think this is Aero, I think Essy is gone - not sure tho

I wish we could see inside. Ky and Calif have both laid eggs, why not Wisconsin

10 am I looked in and no one home!
Waited awhile, Flash came, went inside, looked confused, looked around.
He appears to be incubating.

1.45 pm Flash still on eggs
oops nope - he flew off
2.30 pm box empty

3 pm Aero arrives. Gone 5 hours. why? She looks nervous.

We sure cant see much

3.30 am Flash brought a HUGE bird and dragged it into the nestbox. Aero of course took it right out again and left Flash with his young. I am laughing. He is so like a clumsy child with a BIG heart. I think he is worried she left for so long yesterday.

I know when they moved the cam to view the whole nest box, it startled her. Are they playing with the cam? I dont know.

She accepts it and flies off

I asked bev to record this box on her webcam. She wrote ....
there is a door on left of box, as you are looking at box.
someone had it wide open for a bit and then closed it.

THATS what scared her!
If they opened that big door inside nest box - cam left - she'da been spooked!
Thats how they take the chicks out to band them

I am thankful Aero returned after 5 hours. Eggs should be fine.
Flash kept them warm enuf and temp wasnt freezing

EXTRA NOTE from history
Apr 16, 2015 The DNR guy was there to take pictures of the eggs.
Would DNR so disrupt nesting birds???

Flash left. Aero stayed a short while, got up - left.
After maybe 5 minutes she returned - I think its her ....

I dont know whats up here.
Flash has had egg duty a lot.
Yesterday he was on the eggs a long time, Aero returned - but left again.

Eggs should be nearing time to hatch.

Aero DOES NOT like to be in the box.
She keeps leaving eggs alone, unsure how long as Im not always here.
She had a brood last year. She knows her eggs should be hatching soon.

Flash is having a lot of egg time, more than a male usually does.
When Aero is inside, she is looking outside nervously.

Between that door opening, alarming her, and all the cam adjustments, she is mistrustful.

We cant see the babies but we know at least one is there.

8 am Flash arrives with more perfectly dressed food.
Such a sweet exchange between them. Flash exudes joy.
He leaves, she feeds young

3.45 pm Flash arrives with food, Aero LEAVES.
Flash sweetly and patiently fed his young.

5 pm Aero returns

I was very happy to witness a very sweet moment between Flash and Aero when he carefully went into the box with her. He left her the meal and flew off.

I dont witness many tender moments with this pair.

This female is so spooked about that cam!
I cant understand this courthouse having a bird cam and not giving a da rn about the birds!
I see rain coming but not a storm

I havent seen a parent in half hour

4 pm Falcon atop antenna watching
Still no one with chicks

5 pm Flash just arrived with dinner

I saw the outline of a parent inside around 3 am but they left
5 am Aero arrived

7 am Flash drags in a BIG bird and begins to feed chicks
Aero arrives, stands on green, eventually jumps into box
Flash feeds her, both feed both ends of chicks
Seems to be 4 kids but I only clearly make out 3 heads - one may be small

Laughing ... :D

10 am It began to RAIN
Quickly Aero descended down and went into her young to cover them

There was 3 males & 1 female this year. Names are Poitier, Madden, Powell, and Betty.

I read one A / 21 ring.

This morning I saw Aero feeding them.
Largest one wanted to grab the prey from Mom but she held it

Later Flash came to check each of them out
- as if he was counting them. ;D

I equate this to pre-branching.
All 4 are brown juvies
I call them juvies once they are brown - chicks when white

I saw 2 juvies over on the roof

4.30 pm I looked in on them again and 2 are perched on the green - home again

I began to think those 2'd never leave, so their siblings joined them to tell them about the world of skies
