Post by: STLbf on March 15, 2021, 11:55:36 AM
What are the regulations about photo copyrights that we Forum posters and viewers need to know?

This is covered by Amy in this thread - https://raptorresource.org/raptorresource/forum/index.php?topic=1323.0

Any copyrighted material should only be posted here as a link (insert Link) to the site where the material was legally posted by the owner or authorized agent.  Attachments should only be of your own material or public domain content.  If it is your content, consider putting a copyright mark on the photo, to ensure that you have legal control of its use.  Forums like this frequently have images copied by others that may post them on other sites that you as the owner do not want the image to to associated with.

Note - I am not a professional in copyright law - this is only my understanding of it as a frequent user.

Thanks  Oldguy. I'd luv to know how to 'copyright' my photos. I have an entire thread, 'Bludbirds of Cane Ridge, Tennessee' , that is 97% my personal photos. Plus what I might post elsewhere in The Forum.    On Pinterest, I just lock the boards that have my personal photos.
