Welcome to the 2025 Pawnee kestrels thread! Please share observations and screenshots here!

We saw what was most likely a kestrel outside the nestbox yesterday. If you have time to put your eyes on this cam and post about it, we would really appreciate it:

A kestrel is a small falcon.
It'd be easier to include them with our falcons.

Thanks, Shep - nice catch. I was looking daily, then camera was out for a while. So glad to see one back here.

-
Two hatches by afternoon, May 6, 2025.
-
Third hatch late this afternoon, fourth about 6:00p.m. MDT :)
-
Camera was out the past two days, prior to the 5th hatch. This morning it's back up and the fifth egg hatched - I do know it wasn't prior to midnight May 6, so guess would be May 7. I'm glad to see 5 little kestrels getting fed this morning!
-
Camera back on after a few days; all five still appear to be doing well.
-
Camera has been off for nearly a week; five growing kestrels looking good today.
