Dr. Peter Sharpe and the IWS crew enter the Two Harbors nest to band chick. The nest is located on a cliff, about 200 feet ASL

26:11 The chick was banded with orange band on left leg, likely a female (pending confirmation from the crew)

Thanks to everyone that has donated during the annual IWS Nest Adoption Challenge! These donations have allowed IWS to conduct bald eagle monitoring and banding activities on the Channel Islands this year. Dr.Sharpe will be sending out emails to all those that contributed to get their preferences for nest photos and benefits soon. Stay tuned and thank you again!😊

Her name is Toyon.
Named after Toyon Bay Beach, also called Bannings Beach, a private beach located just north of Avalon on Catalina Island. It’s home to a youth camp called CIMI Toyon Bay that serves California’s 4th through 12th graders. The viewer's grandchildren have gone there several summers."
