Baz - LOL. I'm cheating today. Yes, it's cool enough for a crock-pot meal. But, I went to Whole Foods yesterday and bought lots of pre made food from their hot deli. In this location, they make great food and it gives me quite a few days of no cooking, just re-heating and adding a few seasons etc.
Tonight is their lemon fish, some cold pasta, I forgot which one but they are all good, mixed vegies, and a banana with of course their salted caramel sauce. a needed break from cooking so much with all the fall/winter clean up/preparation, still not finished, and health issues lasting for a solid 3 weeks....oh, and there is lil Ollie man! Finally, now after having less than a month ago augered the upstairs toilet professionally, it's not working well again. Will call tomorrow, assuming Veterans Day is not a day of repose for them Glad to hear your LGN's labs were normal again... |

HAPPY DAY, BEAKERS!
My LGN's 4 AM labs all came back normal!! Yay!! Fingers crossed! Thanks to you, All, for your good wishes and prayers for her and family. I walked 29 minutes this morning. Beautiful and sunny. Clouds are moving in now. We may get some showers overnight, and thunderstorms in the morning. We need rain badly, as does so much of the country - one of the worst droughts on record for the U.S. All the wildfires are just awful - west coast and the northeast. Prayers for all in the path of the severe weather and fires. TSK, I haven't heard anything about reaction to the research articles emailed to docs. I'd love to know! Clynn, yes, you are seeing right. The older twin girl used to share a bedroom with her twin brother, but they are getting too old now to do that anymore, hence the change-up in the bedrooms and sleeping arrangements. I'm guessing the older twin wanted to be up top, so that made for the younger twins to split up top and bottom. I wonder if they trade off from time to time. Your pies look like they could be in the same room as the giant stone fireplace that BL posted a few days back. I hope you and Ed get to do something special for your Anniversary. Congrats, again! Your 40th! Again!! LOLOL. (per TSK) Lani, I won't get to watch the Chiefs play today. It must be a regional broadcast on TV because my local CBS affiliate is showing the Washington game now - same time as the Chiefs' game. But I see I will get to watch the Chiefs in their game next weekend! Have a good day helping Shannon! LOL on the pontificating bulldog!! Lisa, oh, Mobile. I couldn't remember where you had said she lives. She's your brother's daughter? Is she moving from his house to her apartment? Will he help her with the move? Fingers crossed she gets a move-in date tomorrow!! Well, I guess if you end up not traveling this week, then you and Jeff will have time to do a lot of other fun things while he takes some time off. Maybe y'all could enjoy a nice Fall sightseeing day trip if the weather agrees. Phyl, love that cupcake tower in the Autumn colors! Puff, yes, I opened the FB article Karen sent for Lisa to post. Biltmore House is something to see, especially when it's decorated for Christmas! The scale never comes through in the pictures. I have been there quite a few times, but only once when it was all set up for Christmas. I'm sure everyone in that region is happy to see some tourists starting to visit again. Prayers for all suffering from the effects of flooding from Hurricane Helene, and the other severe storms. KB, enjoy the game. What do I smell cooking in your crockpot today? Oldguy, I say 1 out of 2 ain't bad!! Though Meat Loaf sang, "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5hWWe-ts2s (I still love this, after all these years! 1977 "Bat Out of Hell" album!!) P.S. That was written by Jim Steinman, an incredible talent!! who lived an exceptional life, with so many credits from many famous and well-known works!! I didn't know about half of it till I read this about him - Wow!! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Steinman BL, LOLOL, Pip! Must be some chair! Waving to All the Beakers! Here's a funny for you: |

Rain this morning at DNN. Wondering if some cables fell during the night, quick view right after daylight. The "main" camera and sound are working.
DNF perched in a tree across the creek around 11:00, but don't know which tree. |

Good Morning Beakers
clynn - I just realized that I said, Happy Anniversary, but not Happy Birthday to Ed. Thanks for the info on Mrs. Meyers. I will look in Target, and see if they have it here. Very cool about the Passage du Gois. Ooo, those pies in your morning pic look good. Happy Belated Birthday to Ed!! Phyl - I had to laugh out loud at the cat pic from last night about "all the Pate my cat won't eat $30". Picky Bandit does that to us sometimes. I'm glad we have lots of friends with cats who take it off our hands. Love those cupcakes. BL - LOL, Pip said, shut up! tsk - I sure will. I need all the prayers I can get. I was thinking of flying, but you know me...love to DRIVE! baz - Hoping all of Punkin's labs are heading in the right direction. The niece is still living in Mobile, and new apartment will be there, too. I am crossing everything that they contact her on Monday to give her a move-in date. Jeff is off this week, and he will be able to stay home with kitties. oldguy - Not a bad night for cards. Thanks for the videos. Lani - Well, rats...I thought that might have meant less traveling for him. Puff, tiog, kb, karen and all - Morning |

Nature 365:
https://www.nature365.tv/video/2024-11-10-gusts-of-wind https://www.nature365.tv Old City of Jerusalem Surrounded by ancient walls, the Old City is home to holy sites such as the Western Wall, Dome of the Rock Islamic shrine, and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, which dates to the 4th century. Shops and markets selling prayer shawls, rosaries, and ceramics fill busy alleys, while food stalls serve falafel, pita, and fresh-squeezed juice. In a medieval citadel, the Tower of David museum chronicles the city’s history. |
