DH2 spent some early morning time in "that" pine tree near the creek and park benches.  Then a short time picking and hopping around at N1 and the Y. Then flew off upstream to perch with one of the adults in distant, hazy views on the rewind.  Geese up close, feeding in the Pond at 11:00 AM.

Will we watchers be able to view any video of ATF presentations?  Love the video of the attendees waving to us from the bridge, and the tractors setting up.  More?

Chalmers and Deere oh my.

Family owned and passed down 1936 Allis Chalmers tractor keeps the back 40 very well groomed to this day in upstate NY.

My very first below freezing wrench turning advise _ if that socket _ slips _ you'll know those knuckles for the rest of your days.

I do believe we're at 9 generations having turned a wrench on Her immaculately greased nuts.

All have left some knuckle flesh on her if you know what I mean.

Charlotte was the 1st one to loose skin even though John just bought her.

My Grandmother patiently showed me how to properly change a tire on the side of a deserted road.

Take this white steering wheel kid V8 ..  most memorable drive of my life.

We laughed so hard all the way to the Grand Canyon I still wet myself a little.

Like yesterday I can still see her auburn hair flowing out the passenger window cracking up .. if your Father only knew.

Will there be pics from ATF here or in a separate place? I did check out the crowd waving!

lilbirdz, I'm also hoping for a bunch of pics and videos from ATF.

In the meantime, here's a pic of DH2 and RWBB in the leafy branches above N1 about 6:30 AM.
And an adult perched upstream, center right in the pic, about 8:30 AM.
Rewind for Canada geese in the Pond, no pic.

Here is a link to my pictures that I took at ATF this year.  They are on my Facebook page, and the post is public, so you should be able to see it without having a Facebook account.

Lisa, thanks sooooo much for posting your pics from ATF.  You got some spectacular shots.  Pics from boots on the ground reveal how high up the N1 nest really is.  My favorites are the two of DH2 soaring with the light so that under-feathers show up beautifully.  And it's great to see Mr. Decorah looking so good.

You're welcome, STL  :)

DH2 soars really well, and you can hear that squee from just about anywhere.

Good morning to what may be a soaked and saturated Decorah region from earlier passing storm (where was that water when we were ready for a paddle down the river, I want to know).  Many thanks to LisaG for the wonderful compilation of ATF photos. They are all so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talents with us! The fawn at creek was one of my faves.  Big a-w-w-w-w moment...  The tractor rally right at our doorstep was quite an amazing surprise!  Glad I learned more about it while they stopped for a break.  Great to see familiar people, and some newcomers too, at the ATF,  and happy that our travelling people seem to be home safe and sound again.
