Afternoon pics from Decorah -  HM in nest, HD in nest bowl for a good 5 hours, HM flew in and relived HD of nest bowl warming duty, and she picked up fish nestover that HD brought in yesterday and ate it

That rocking nest could make sensitive viewers seasick!

No egg at N1 yet.  HD brought a small stick at about 9:15. He didn't stay long on the nest, and is still limping on that swollen foot.

It's as if they think there is an egg to incubate. I don't recall any of the others nests occupants doing this without an egg.

Ruby! So good to see you! I'm coming around to the reasonable theory that HD is lying in the nest so much to help heal his injured talon.

T40 - I think you are right with that theory!

Ruby - No egg in nest from this view.  They might just be keeping the nest bowl warm and clean, pending eggs to come.

HD took off from T1, landed on N1, rearranged some corn husks and his Lincoln logs -- about 1:00 this afternoon.  About an hour later, HM came to N1 for frozen, leftover fish.

Overhead views will give us a special perspective when there are eggs and later hatchlings to watch.  Thanks to the cam ops!

Morning pics from Decorah - HM spent the night on nest, but left earlier.  HD came to nest for a bit, and flew out.

Lisa & Lori, keeping up with the Hatchery pair!  HM is aware of the geese, and ducks today, in the creek below N2B.  She may prefer that the geese nest elsewhere than N2B.

HD brought another large stick to add to the tall rails he is building.  Funny twig stuck to his face.

Really cold today, but we would love to see an egg here.
