Hello Beakers

(my day off)

It has been raining on and off most of the day - so far only .13 in. of rain, but getting some thunder at this time...  Expecting another round of rain this evening, more thunderstorms Sat evening and then all day on Sunday.

Thought this might be of interest for anyone planning to fly this year...

The weather has been VERY active this afternoon in Eastern NE and Western Iowa  Major damage in the Omaha area with multiple tornados  - this is now moving to the NE in Iowa.  The current one on screen is about 1 mile wide with multiple vortices in the rotation.

OLDGUY    The rainfall we had from 1: 30 to 6ish or so yielded just shy of .5"   Lots to think about when traveling.  It seems like it will take forever.  Good to hear some small channel can get boats out of the harbor  WOW  So much heavy lifting yet to do.   .La la is a very brave cat  ;)   GREAT Carol Burnett story  ;D  Loved the dueling banjoes  ;D    Stay safe - Heading to Decorah??

The storm has passed our area, heavy rain and wind. No tornado here.

Clynn - glad to hear that the big bad winds stayed away from you... :)  I see that a narrow band of rain is still heading for you, but nothing severe.  It appears that all of the bad stuff is over for the night, so no problems for us to you East.

That will help wash the pollen dust away... sweet baby Bella... oh poor little Armadillo babies... sad to read the male osprey is Louis... oh no a fishing line  :'(

Tsk, it's hard to keep the fine pollen dust out of the house. We keep the doors and windows shut even though the weather is nice. It's raining tonight, hopefully, this will help get rid of the pollen... it was a good meeting.

Kb, The video of the home explosion and photos showed an almost flattened home. Grandma was very lucky, and so were your neighbors.

Hi Lisa, Puff, Karen I hope you all had a good day.

Oldguy, thanks for links... terrible tornado damages in Nebraska and Iowa.... take care and be safe.

Lori, sending hugs and prayers for you, Destini and family take care and be safe.  :-*

Mornin' Lani.  Your pollen shot was really an eye opener.  WOW.  I'm sure you have issues during the season just keeping  it out of the house.  Even worse that Mike has to live through it.  I also wonder how many of the retirees, as an aging process, have moved to that area for retirement.  They really have to be forewarned.  The video also shows what is hard to image.

Then too, how about all those tornadoes, BIG tornadoes.  Hopefully they blew mostly over fields and not over homes/barns/businesses.  From Fox weather this morning they quoted either 57 or 97 (?) reports.  Eeeeek.  Today's prediction is more of the same.

Sad mention also this morning on FNC of those who are having to accept not having a much deserved college graduation ceremony and celebration.  They likewise 4 years ago were denied the high school graduation festivities because of the start of CoVid.  SO SAD.  I'm sure the family and friends gave them some kudos and fun.  But still not the big achievement taking the limelight.

Good day for Lani and all.  Enjoy the weekend.
