That was a great snap from Nora!  Perhaps we were too hasty to dismiss egg-laying for this year.  Or maybe just strong bonding for next year.

It would be nice, but pretty late in the season to lay eggs, brood the eggs, get them to fledge, and teach them to hunt.  Let's go for lots of bonding and keeping her around.  :)

Ya, Nora, it's bonding time for Newman and U-09.  Closeups today show that she's growing some adult gray-blue feathers on her shoulders and back.

Yes, U-09 is going to be fully adult by the end of this summer, and we can hope for a successful breeding season in 2025.
