Good Morning Beakers

E4E - With everything going on, I have not cooked a good meal in the past week.  So, this weekend I made sure to make two good meals.  Thanks for the kind words.  :)

tsk - I am glad to hear that you are improving daily.  Hopefully, that 4-6 range of pain will eventually go away.  Mother Goose laid her 4th egg last night, I see!

Phyl - Hope you and Jim feel better.  Last, night was the first night I only coughed twice in the night, so I feel like I am improving. Cute good morning pic!  Great cam pics, and gorgeous Flyway sunrise!

kb - Such a sweet pic from MN DNR!!!!

Lani - Great advice and suggestions from all Beakers! We really thought last night was the night, as she kept going behind loveseat.  Jeff picked her up and brought her in Bradley's room, but false alarm!  We have the closet ready for her, and also an extra large Chewy box, that Jeff cut out an area for her to get out, but not the kittens.  We have set up her water, food and litter box in there.  AC gave us special litter to use.  Jeff slept in there last night with her, so tonight will be my turn.  I think she likes Jeff staying with her tho, but he needs his Cpap machine, and he hasn't been using it when he is with her.  And, boy is he tired.

clynn - I can always count on a giggle from you.... You have Grandmothering to do!  ;D
Great pics from Sue & Benny o Mom & DM2!!

Morning all:

Lani - Flaco the eagle-owl was set free by an act of vandalism, in February sometime.
For now, they are letting it stay "free"....
I don't really know more than that except of course bird watchers are a watching!.

Seems to me, so many zoo "incidents" lately across the country, and I'm not speaking of mother nature's problem, but vandalism and sometime incompetence.....a worrying trend.

tsk, yes, you have to put the bird feeder high enough so the squirrels can't reach it. Mom has a lot of squirrels too!  We just tried it and if they got too close we moved it up a little. There's a milk crate on the ground that we use to step on and fill the feeder.  You can see the feeder  in this picture. It has never fallen off, those suction cups hold it very well. I was skeptical at first!

Lisa, love that beautiful rose in your picture! Jeff is like the nervous Dad!

Tsk - Glad you are doing a little better, and prayers that it continues.  :)

Phyl - Sneezing now that it is Spring!   There is a tree in front of the apartment where my Mom lives that is in full bloom and she is taking a 'Claritin' once a day and it helps her.   Beautiful cam pics! :)

Kb - Love the DNR nest pic - yaaay! ;D

Clynn - Lol! Not easy to type while you hold Honey in one arm! ;) :)  Thanks for posting Sue Bruhling and pics!!  Cute pic of Talon & Bella with your Mom(?)  ;D

LisaG - I'm sure Jeff appreciated those delicious meals you made - you are a wonderful cook! ;D

Oldguy - I bet you are getting real busy at work with Spring here!

Hi T40, Lani, Tig, Lori, Baz, BL, Puff  :)

Everyone have a nice day  :)

Clynn Honey on your shoulder/one finger typing Yikes! Love the photo your mom and the Munchkins. I think you look like her.  :)  Thanks for sharing Sue Bruhling's  photos and N4 history. I had forgotten some of  that  ::) But, I do rememnber when N3 got blown down and the replacement.
The window birdfeeder is in a good spot. I had a window bird house once suctioned to the window in downstairs lavatory when Mike was young and our one & only. He liked it too much. LOL   But the bluebirds used it.  They kinda pushed the nest higher in the back. Then Jim discovered the nesting boxes---the rest is bluebird history.  ;)
Oh yea. I have some wildlife news to tell---if I can get it all together.

Tsk luv the bunnies; Hurrah your temps are warming  :) ;   thanks for asking about Clynn's new desk chair, I hope it's working out for her.  Morning exercise routine, LOL I can just see us all doing that.  ::)

Lisa happy to read that you're doing better and from your Misty report, just in time  :-*   Bless Jeff for sleeping in with her, good Grandpa.  ;)
AC gave you some 'special litter' for PG cats? Didn't ever see that on shelves--learn  new something every day.  ;)

Kb  I so glad they're letting Flaco stay 'free' even if for the present.    Indeed-- There is a most 'alarming' rash of vandalism directed toward zoos and animal care facilities. I can guess where it goes from there.  Lovely wolf (?) Thanks.

Hi Eagles Even though Dx (diagnosis) is chronic non-alergic rhinitis, we still get a tiny bit of allery 'action' Spring/Fall.  I've been take Flonase for 20 yrs---remember Actifed?  Didn't do much for me then.
When is your mom's next doc appt? It was with a specialist?    Oh-How's the DeLorean restoration going?

Lani I read too fast and miss things.   Happy to know Shannon will be seeing her regular ETN doc. It always helps when your health care provide  is one
that's trusted. Lessens the fretting.

Phyl  Lisa Special litter is to protect the lady of the house, not the pregnant cat.  Clay litter absorbs and holds wet urine from cat who could have a virus, I think it's a virus or germs, that can cause issues to the pregnant woman or the baby she's carrying.  Pregnant litter is made with paper that absorbs and/or prevents urine from splashing or getting into human pores.  That can cause a big problem for mom or baby.

Thanks  Puff .Well I know about that litter... Just never heard of paper litter refered to as 'special' litter.   . Actually over the course of 40yrs as cat parent,  I've used every sort of 'litter' made including from wheat. That's why now,  I use a CatGenie litter appliace.

Say! How are you doing this morning? Much better I hope.  ;)

That would be for toxoplasmosis...geesh, wouldn't they have tested the cat for it?...before handing that out I mean...

Bearstudy - Tasha Up, Swans Back, and a First - UPDATE March 24, 2023

Spring has sprung! The beautiful Trumpeter Swans have returned to an open stretch on the Shagawa River just east of Ely. About a dozen swans were back, mostly pairs, with a dozen or so Goldeneye Ducks sharing the water. The nearest pair of swans looked serene with no hint what would come next, something I never saw before, and now I know why. It only happened for about a minute. But a lot happened in that time. Suddenly, the male, the swan on the right in the serene picture, was on his mate, taking the back of her head in his bill with both of their heads submerged for a few seconds. Then their heads were up where they could breathe again as they went from one position to another, ending with what looked like a celebration of both their heads extended tall together. A lucky sighting.

Tasha is up! Bears in Tasha’s old stomping grounds in Kentucky are stirring, while bears in Lucky’s old home of Wisconsin are a little later.

Good morning Beakers!
Morning Blschue, Lilbro, Lori, Clynn, Tsk, Lisa, Oldguy, Puff, Eagles, Kb, Tig, Baz, Phyl, Peep, Jaspurr, Pink, Jilltosa, Karen, BL, Eburg, Weasel, Ezee, Bggolden, T40, ssrl, Maxie, and All!

Kb, Thanks, great morning pic.

Lisa, Oh you and Jeff are St Francis's angels. Mike uses a cpap machine too. It's connected to an oxygen machine at home, but he can turn it into a portable one for out of town trips. Can Jeff's cpap be made portable too? Bless you both for taking such good care of the B&B Misty girl! She's in good loving hands.  :-*

Tsk, Gonzaga is in talks with Big 12 Conference (KU) as a possible new addition, with Texas and Oklahoma leaving Big 12 Conference for the SEC in 2024 Fall season. BYU will be joining Big 12 too. Shannon's ENT will be keeping a close eye on the calcified lesion, which is located on the top of her head and connected to the skull.

Clynn, I placed Alphabet Keyboard Replacement stickers on my last keyboard. That might help.... awww Honey  :-* Milo likes to sit and nuzzle my hand when I'm typing. Norman likes to walk back and forth in front of the screen. He's hit the esc key or lock button many times.  :-\ ... Love Sue's post of Mom Decorah and DM2 on their new nest. It's so good to see her and to know she and her mate are well, Life goes on!  :-*. ... yes, Lisa will have lots of "grandmothering to do" LOL! .. sweet pic of your mom and the munchkins. Bella has grown since that pic, and I'm sure that was just last summer.

Phyl, beautiful sunrise, morning greetings to Audi and egglet.... YAY! #4 for Mother Goose.  ;D

It's only 40 above here but I'm feeling the itch...spring itch that is!
10 degrees below average and getting much colder this week.

So, I have a small patch of grass on the north side of my driveway that is missing snow and a few patches in the front yard where I shoveled a path for Ollie, that I'm going to blow the leaves and ash seeds off of.

Such a Minnesotan I am..with coat, gloves and boots I'll be out there blowing!.... ;) ;) ;)I must be like Tasha.

clynn - Thank you, and yes, Jeff is like a nervous Dad  ;D  Great pic of your Mom and the munchkins.

E4E - Aww, thanks for saying that.   :)

Phyl - Great pic of Mother Goose and her eggs!   So sad about the shooting in Nashville!

kb - Awww, doting eagle parents  :-*

Puff - I remember that about pregnant women and cat litter.

tsk - MG has 6 eggs last year, and only 5 hatched.  I wonder how many she will have this year!  Oh, I hope Misty knows what to do.  I am already nervous about the whole thing.

I'm sure it is not "special" litter, but just something that AC wanted me to use for Misty and the kittens.  It's called FreshNews, and made out recycled paper?  AC said, the clay and dust in the Double Duty by Arm & Hammer that I use could smother the kittens when they breathe it in, not sure if that is true or not.
