Look who has arrived!! The Royalcam chick has hatched today and was returned to YRK! Welcome to the world little one! 🐣 ♥ Ranger Sharyn brought the wee chick to the nest, removed the dummy egg, sprayed a safe insect repellent around the nest to prevent flystrike and then presented YRK with her new chick! What a beautiful moment when YRK touches it with her bill and greets it! Sharyn smiles at the cam with a look of happiness on her face at the next Royalcam star!

New Zealand Royal Albatross little one QT
RoyalCam chick’s wings got a good airing today.
She also got a very quick visit from YRK (off-cam - 14:58).
Then back to flight school.
Her paddles still on the ground, but the winds seem to be calling her more loudly now.
