I got really lucky to get this video. We have family over for a few days and I happen to be taking a break sitting down at the computer tonight after dinner and was watching the Decorah Eagles when i noticed moms vent feathers down in laying mode. I set the recorder to the 15 minute cam viewer and was able to catch the whole delivery without any buffs and page interruptions. because I was sitting right here I was able to refresh before the cam timed out.

Great catch! And great video. You really were lucky to be looking at the right time. I also love your "Magic Moments" video. I seem to miss all the significant moments. Thanks for recording and posting them.

I was lucky to just log on at the time of a changeover.  Mum was calling out for Dad to take over.  He soon flew in from the right and she got up and stretched her wings before flying on to a branch out of view on the left - you could still hear her.  He sat and looked at the nest for a few seconds then padded over and very carefully adjusted the 3 eggs and settled down to brood.  Just beautiful !

All is quiet this morning.  Colour picture just come in.  Not sure which bird is sitting on the eggs but it briefly re-arranged the 3 eggs...the other bird is perched on a branch in the background and then flies off.  A bird calls nearby.  I wasn't sure until I checked on Whatbird.com whether it was an owl or a Mourning Dove.  I decided it was a dove !

Thanks for the slideshow PattiO!  I can't seem to ever connect to the live cam any more, and your slides give a nice sequence of this pair.

Thank you Peggy for the time lapse - very good to watch.

I love watching the changeover in the early morning, which is about lunchtime here and usually when I switch on my computer.

The female always starts calling out when it is beginning to get light and other small birds start chirping.  This morning, she got a little impatient and flew off to the right leaving the eggs momentarily exposed to the wind.  But like clockwork the male was soon on to the eggs and settling down for his stint.  It's beautiful to watch the routine.

Sad Wah! Looks like we have water in/on the lens. Much more so on the live cam than on the dailies. As you can hear, the wind is really blowing, so hopefully it can dry it out. It's really playing havoc with the live picture right now.
