You know with Norfolk Juvie NX from the 2011 clutch at the Wildlife Center of Virginia for rehab being taken care of by Ed Clark and his associates, I always feel a bit betwix and between about what to post where when it comes to our NBG 2011 Star NX. So today I posted some pictures and a video on the Norfolk Thread in "other raptors". And I see that shuff1 posted some information about Ed Clark in that thread. I am betwixt and between trying to figure out where to post information on NX. She is Norfolk, but Norfolk 2011. Should she be in the Norfolk thread or in the WCV thread where she is rehabbing? RSHA Fluffing but not eating 1-25 Seems like? RSHA and NX have been confering on their diets, neither ate that day. They both just flew or moseyed around, but didn't eat. Dr. Miranda also inspected NX’s tattered bumpers and opted to remove them for the time being — while observing how NX gets around in the flight pen. The veterinary team report that NX’s current weight is 4.25 kg, and feet are in good condition. Cam viewers may have noticed that NX is still missing one of the feathers on her left wing that she was missing back in August 2011 – feather #9. Feather #6 on her left wing is also broken (noted by the veterinary team weeks ago), but feather #8, which was broken in August, is new. The next foot and feather check will be on February 13. January 30 updateGreat Horned Owl #12-0050’s lead levels were checked again today — this time, the lead level is much lower than the initial reading. With a result of .296 ppm, the veterinary staff are encouraged that the chelation therapy is working. They will give the owl’s system a break for a few days, and then will resume with another round of chelation to continue to remove the lead from the bird’s body. The Great Horned Owl remains bright and alert, and for the past two days, has been holding its wings in a normal position. I can't figure out what is happening here. Yesterday one post early morning, the weather report, then nothing else. Today we have the weather report and three from viewers. No Congowings, no update on NX since Jan 30th. I liked this cam. Where are the mods and the in formation???

That political problem with the FAA an the DGIF has to do with the Norfolk Botanical Gardens nest; not the Wildlife Center of Virginia Critter Cam. Norfolk is quite some distance away from here. The WCV is the rehab center which also has the largest veterinarian medicine school in the United States. I have seen the WCV main mod, Congowings, posting at NBG which is carried by a TV station, but I have seen nothing in the WCV general information to explain this.

No apology; it does get confusing since NX is Norfolk Class of 2011 and just happens to be at WCV. That is one reason I keep getting mixed up on what thread to post things in. Should NX be in Norfolk thread  or should she be in WCV thread Join my confusion, ra. |

There are several new patient updates on our "what's new" page -- unfortunately we don't have complete detailed updates of Critter Cam RSHA and NX because our digital radiology server is down. That means we can take the rads, we just can't pull them up for interpretation. Hopefully that will be resolved within the next couple of days. http://www.wildlifecenter.org/wp/news/whats-new/NX Update with Photos from today NX was caught up today for a foot and feather check, monthly blood work, and a series of radiographs. The Center is currently having technical issues with the digital radiology server — while the staff can take radiographs, the server for viewing and storing images is having difficulties. Hopefully this issue will be resolved within the next two days so that the veterinarians can interpret the most recent NX images. Dr. Adam reports that NX is in good body condition and currently weighs 4.18 kgs.
