Cynthia:  thanks for getting this thread going in anticipation of the Eaglecrest Hawks.  Raptor4ever posted this announcement from RRP and UStream that goes along with your story from the Bee on the "Miscellaneous Raptors" thread in the Forum this morning:

I'm very much looking forward to seeing the new Red-Tailed Hawk cam. We've got lots of hawks in our area.  It should be interesting watching them and seeing what they're up to.

I'm really not sure when there is activity around a nest.  The Decorah family starts nestorations in late fall or early winter.  Not sure about red-tailed hawks in California.

They must be having technical problems. Nothing on line yet; but I recognize a lot of names in the social chat from this forum and from the Decorah eagle chat.

What a great newspaper article about this new project! Thank you to Mr. David McDonald for putting the cam on his property and to Bob Anderson, the Bird Cam Wizard.

He's a Bird Cam Wizard, there has to be a twist!
The Bird Cam Wizard has such a supple wrist!

(Otherwise how would he put up all those cams and nestboxes AND catch Belinda the Peregrine Falcon with only one hand!)

I was just online at Fresno.  Picture was great, Bob must be adjusting the cam because every once in a while it would zoom into the nest up close.  But all is very quiet.

It's very exciting to see a cam out west my way, especially since it's only about four hours away!  Very exciting indeed!
