I love the picture of Kathy Q leaning over and looking at her baby. I am new to all this bird watching, but I find that all these birds become very special in a short period of time. When one stops looking at the cute pictures and really looks at the bird, said bird becomes real to me, even when the picture is cute. |

Both birds are still on territory and eager to get things going for the 2012 season. It will be interesting to see if a 19 year old male peregrine is capable of producing viable young. Also, Kinney will be on the cover of the 2012 Midwest Peregrine Society Annual report, to honor his longevity and productivity for peregrines in our area.

Also, in case anyone was interested, Kinney and KathyQ have their own facebook page that sends out great bits of information from the team who monitors the site (in person). Just sending an FYI for those that do the "social media" thing.
