I love the vulture pics! I was fascinated by the animals supported by the eagle nest: mice, squirrels, raccoons (frown), starlings, etc. It is very interesting to see turkey vultures in a falcon nestbox. I don't know whether it was just convenient (this box would be) or whether there were also yummy little bits of protein.

That's neat! I was down by Diamond Bluff in Mid-October and everyone was gone. I wonder if this is a juvie from this year, or one from somewhere else who decided to rest while making the trek down the Mississippi?

Of course, this is only speculation, but I think there is a good chance that this is one of this year's juvies. The juvie looks very comfortable at the nest.
