The Blackwater eaglets are getting big . . . and little eaglet feet for Veronica:

The eaglets are growing up at Blackwater, and starting to feed themselves:

She's still incubating, and it's still snowing. What incredible dedication! I noticed her eating some of the snow from time to time.

I don't know if you know about this cam. The migration information is great because they follow birds with tracking devices. The falcons are now having fights over who mates with who and who gets the nest. www.falconcam.med.ualberta.ca/index.html

It looks as if there will be no ferruginous hawks to watch this year. From their site: "May 6, 2008: Unfortunately the male that was seen adding sticks to the nest was unable to attract a female. It appears we will not be able to observe this rare hawk raise his family in 2008. We will post archived materials from past years soon." [attachment deleted by admin]

I like this cam too - partly because it is the closest thing I have to a "local" cam (I am in Alberta). I have posted a few pics from time to time on the "Miscellaneous Peregrines" thread, and thought I'd start a thread for this cam once the birds are there more regularly.
