On 1/04/11, Bob picked up an injured sharp-shinned hawk. The hawk had flown into a window and been blinded following the impact. We don't know if the blindness is permanent or temporary. Nora (some of you know her from the forum) is transporting the hawk to the Cedar Bend Humane Society in Waterloo, Iowa, for care. If I get any updates, I will post them here. Update: 1/9/12Rehabber Terese Evans received the hawk. It has recovered its sight and is doing well. It will be released back into the wild sometime this week.
